I am compelled to share this extremely violent Berumika fight scene. Well, it started off as a fair fight anyway.

if only they could have stayed this way
Let's take a moment to think about Bertholdt.
What would he be doing? Where would he be? Think about the potential character development? What he would look like with facial hair?
But why did Isayama make Bertholdt have feelings for Annie? What's the point of that in the story? He's now dead and he wasn't even able to tell her or save her? It was not even touch upon on his dying moments lol Do you think his feelings would still somehow be relevant in the future?
I don’t know what goes on in the man’s crazy imagination. Since Bertl is now dead (I miss him so much), clearly it didn’t work out for him in the end. Maybe they had a secret romance? Maybe Reiner will tell her? Even if she says “Oh, well I didn’t like him back” then that side plot thing still had a conclusion. However, if it’s not ever addressed again at all then to me that an asspull & the story could’ve gone on just fine without. In short, idk.
I will admit, this is the part I don’t understand and confuses me the most. Seeing Bertholdt like this, why now? He was the biggest problem and undiscovered question since they first found out he was the Colossal titan. For so long, we were headed on a track where he would give us some answers; why they were doing this, what their purpose was, where was home, etc.? But now he’s gone and it feels really anti-climactic. It has been about him for a long while and now when they are at a place to possibly achieve answers, he’s just taken away all of a sudden and they learn absolutely nothing. AGAIN. I feel cheated. Bertholdt never got to tell his side of the story, can never tell his old comrades and friends why he HAD to do what he has done and will never have a chance at making them understand; make them know or feel how he feels. It really fricken sucks! And in these panels, where he is begging his old comrades to save him, I feel as though he really did want to tell them then or that he had some sort of final last words, whether they be an apology, a warning, regret, or something else. I really hated to see him go like this but I suppose that’s just the way it goes. Of course we still have more confrontations with Zeke and Reiner to look forward to and I guess that’s where they will possibly find some answers.
Don't you find it funny that Bert died during Reibert week?
This is not a joking matter anon. A beloved character (well, to me) died so it doesn’t matter who people ship him with, all Bert fans are mourning.
