Ooc (or perhaps not??) beruani headcanon.

Everyone knows how Bertholdt reacted to Armin lying to him about Annie. He was so ready to fight. His weak-willed self stepped up for Annie to immediately attack him. He was going to swing his sword-thingy if Mikasa didn’t slash him.

So I’m thinking something modern or maybe Bertholdt would’ve been that person when it comes to Annie in canon-verse too? We will never know. If anyone called Annie names such as “bitch”, Bertholdt would punch them? Ooc headcanons never hurt, that’s why it called headcanon.

It’s almost likely a mistranslation because I don’t see how that can be. However this is Isayama we’re talking about so anything is possible.

Before Bertholdt was killed he was knocked out sleeping (hence my profile pic). As he was about to be eaten the first person he thought of was Annie so he screams for her before Reiner. I'mma gonna head & think he was dreaming of her before waking up to his nightmare.

More headcanon.

You know that "Calling out your name" ost that was played in the beruani Jr. High episode? Then there's that official beruani art ( that I don't consider canon ATM but Imma use it for this). Then Bertholdt calling out for her as he gets eaten. Think about it! Ugh! All the secret possibilities! I think it's safe to say "Calling out your name" is a Beruani song. Listen to it.

But why did Isayama make Bertholdt have feelings for Annie? What's the point of that in the story? He's now dead and he wasn't even able to tell her or save her? It was not even touch upon on his dying moments lol Do you think his feelings would still somehow be relevant in the future?

I don’t know what goes on in the man’s crazy imagination. Since Bertl is now dead (I miss him so much), clearly it didn’t work out for him in the end. Maybe they had a secret romance? Maybe Reiner will tell her? Even if she says “Oh, well I didn’t like him back” then that side plot thing still had a conclusion. However, if it’s not ever addressed again at all then to me that an asspull & the story could’ve gone on just fine without. In short, idk.

Yes someone should *touches side of nose*. I would say Isayama should but I don’t trust him.
