I’m glad to see that skaters are still doing tanos and rippons for the “good body position” GOE point even though the “variation” GOE point is gone. Regardless of all the whining about point-mongering, well-executed arm variations really are gorgeous. And the new rule SEEMS to have weeded out the ugly/sloppy arm variations, which is great, but of course we don’t know that for sure until we’re deeper into the season.
