TIME FOR A CALL OUT

It’s 5 am in the middle of nowhere Nepal (where I am currently) and I finally have proper internet for this shit post.

How. Fucking. Dare.

Started Riptide Lover on the plane ride from Guangzhou, China to Kathmandu, Nepal. I finished it a day later in the hotel room. I stayed up to read this fucking fic. I got emotionally invested in this fic.

AND THEN THE WORST THING HAPPENED:

I ran out of fic to read .

I AM DISTRAUGHT.

Much upset and shrieking was to be had. My husband asked me “what is happening with the gay mermaids now?” (I was not quiet about my reactions while reading). He nodded sympathetically when I said there was no more and it was unfinished!

So God dammit, Jingle. How dare you make me feel my own feelings and then give me an unfinished fic!

edit: this post is in no way trying to force Jingle to update, merely bringing lightness to how good this fic was that it dragged me in.

Riptide Lover

I've decided I'm gonna shitpost today (and who knows, maybe tomorrow too) as much as possible about one of my FAVORITE Johnlock fanfics. I was lucky enough to introduce it to @august-emerald this past week and their excitement over it totally renewed my excitement!! It's called Riptide Lover by @jinglebellfic and it's one of my favorite fanfics ever! It's mermaid AU which normally isn't my thing, but dear God, give this story a chance and I swear you won't regret it!! So please enjoy the fanfic rec/spam!

Btw after the horrific aquarium scene and the sharks and the tears in my few hours of sleep I dreamed of merman Sherlock and it was beautiful and cleansing.
