about me!

hii and welcome to my prog rock blog! here are some general things about me / bands i like:

i want to be a forensic genetic genealogist

my favorite tv shows are hannibal, fleabag, and the office. my favorite movie is the omen (1976)

i have chromesthesia which means i can hear colors when i listen to music sometimes

my favorite progressive rock bands are genesis, the alan parsons project, king crimson, camel, rush, gojira, opeth, virgin black, rishloo, and porcupine tree.

additionally, i’m also a fan of sleep token, blonde redhead, blondshell, radiohead, tupac, ayesha erotica, and erykah badu.

Welcome to my blog :3

I decided to make a small introduction because uhhhhh idk???? I just wanna lost down the fandoms I'm in, interests etc because I wanna make friends here but I don't know how Tumblr works even though I've been here for like a year. Quietly, tbf.

Anyway.

I love music, as you've seen I'm mainly into rock/metal, I love Tool, APC and Puscifer, Nine Inch Nails, Ghost B.C, Alice in Chains, Rishloo and Pantera, but I don't mind other bands like Type O Negative, Smashing Pumpkins, Massive Attack, She Wants Revenge, Korn, Deftones and Nirvana.

I'm multi fandom but I'm currently hyperfixating on NIN and Tool. However, I'm also a fan of Arcane, Baldur's Gate 3 and Hollyoaks. There are many other fandoms I'm in but visit less often, such as Identity V, FNAF or The Arcana. I also like Blue Eye Samurai (didn't finish it though)

I used to be a lot into anime and mangas but now not really, though I enjoy getting back to old stuff I liked from time to time.

I'm a drummer and I'm in a band called Ziewanna(we're on Instagram! @/ the_ziewanna) , I'm half polish half Italian and I'm studying German and Spanish (I'm finishing highschool).

I draw, as you've seen, I have open commissions and my art account in my bio.

DNI bigots and proships, I don't think I have to specify that I don't wanna see Zionists, homophobic, transphobic ppl and terfs here.

I've already had the pleasure to meet cool people here, though I've only talked to a few just a couple of times so I hope I'll make new acquaintances🙏🏻

In the spirit of posting some OC stuff yesterday, here's the final (and slightly bigger) piece: My necromancer Lady and her favourite skull.

The image is heavily inspired by "To Tame the Temporal Shrew" from Rishloo.

As I race through the passage, I find you And we dance 'til eternity ends And the void is not full up, nor empty When the song of our empire begins

Just conjured up a key scene for her story, and in return I drew a picture in honor of the song.

I could have done much better than I did with this. The pose is heavily drawn from reference, and so are the bones. I struggled with the border a lot and lost all patience on the stupid tree eventually. Actually, lots of things in this picture are signs of impatience. I'm glad I finished it anyway.

The swirly/ribbon things show key elements of her story, starting from the top. If I would go into detail here I could actually just write down the whole story. Maybe one day I will, probably I won't. Until then, she'll exist in this image.
