Hello, hun. I’m getting there slowly. After a health scare a couple of weeks ago, I’m taking it easy and working from home, while also getting ready for a trip to Scotland. How are you doing? All okay?

I’m SO glad someone has asked me about this! I really loved it. From the very beginning I was hooked. The acting was brilliant and the gothic feel. Superb film!! What were your thoughts on it? Anything stand out to you? Anything you liked, and maybe didn’t like as much?

My favourite moments were probably when the Creature was with Elizabeth, and his scenes with the blind man. Just anyone who showed him love and care. It made my heart swell.

And on that note, I NEED to see the new Dracula film directed by Luc Beeson. It’s all over my TikTok and it’s apparently not out until 2026 in the UK. Have you seen it advertised?

just read your kli/tauriel fic on ao3 and it was so cute !!! i love everything about it. you write their characters so well, down to their mannerism. i liked how you show their nervousness and how they danced around each other. super cute <3

most fics are even obviously AI created, you recognise it easily where ppl overuse the —  not to confuse with the short one - the long one is typical for AI stories

hi jay !! i watched pilgrimage (2017) today because of RA. I haven't watched it sooner because I get squeamish really easily and I heard the movie is quite brutal, but I actually love the cinematography of it ! i always like medieval movies so that was nice. that aside... raymond as a character was such a jerk but is it weird that it made my heart flutter ? (,,>ヮ<,,) and he just looks so rugged and dirty there, i love it hahaha. the fact that he speaks french in that movie too makes RA such a great actor. i'm definitely going to stay up tonight to look through the raymond de marville tags on tumblr... did you enjoy the movie as well ? what did you think ? <3

I wasn’t overly fussed on the film as a whole. I really like Raymond’s character, although I’m probably a bit biased. But the film overall was a bit boring. Hearing Richard speak French made the experience easier to endure, and to just see him on screen! 😉😉😉

Trope I will never write: I can’t really say there’s a particular trope I wouldn’t write for. But, and I’m going to get controversial now, one I don’t like is enemies to lovers. 🤣 So I would probably steer a little more clear of that.

An upcoming WIP: I have a story I’m currently working on with Thorin and an OC. I’ve written reader inserts for so long now, and wanted to try another OC. I don’t really want to go into any specific details mainly because I don’t know if I’ll ever post it. But it’s got plenty of angst, arranged marriage, and lots of the OC, Thorin and Dwalin.

Hi Jay ! 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 11, 15 and 20 for the ask game please :)

What's my blog title from? It's an amalgamation of two things from Doctor Who. The Eleventh Doctor is my favourite. One of his favourite foods is custard, and he has a favourite straw, which he says 'adds more fizz' - put the two together, and viola! Fizzy Custard.

What film have I watched most recently? For the first time, Interstellar. Thought it was highly overrated.

What am I looking forward to right now? Nothing in particular.

What's my hair routine like? I tend to just brush it in the morning when I wake up. But when I wash it, which is usually on gym days, I use Fairly Traded Honey Lush shampoo, conditioner once a week, and then put in some Neil and Wolf hair oil while it's wet and let dry naturally. Unless I'm in a rush and then dry with my hairdryer - in that case, I add some Toni and Guy hair wax in.

Favourite month of the year and why? December. Love Christmas.

What kind of music is stuck in my head lately? Usually instrumentals. I love instrumental/soundtrack music.

What piece of advice do I give a lot? For people to take a deep breath and not compare themselves to others. (which I have a huge issue with myself!)

What do I wish someone would ask me? Just ask me if I'm okay when I'm quiet, notice if I'm not myself. Or maybe ask about my writing more and how it's going.
