if I think about doc disappearing from his friends like smokey and louise and river and everyone too much I get really sad ☹️☹️☹️ like he was so hurt by being rejected by the racing world he cut everyone off for like. half a century with no explanation no message just gone. oh okay. and then he's sending letters about his new son (mcqueen) AUGHHHH falls to my knees face down on the floor dies. whatever. they should make a short or novel or comic exploring this more I need to see it play in real time
Strip: he ain’t allowed to eat cereal it makes him hyper. Lynda makes him oatmeal instead and he throws a tantrum every time.
Cal: he ain’t allowed to eat cereal, eats POPS in moderation when supervised (he will eat the entire box)
Lynda: Oatmeal. she don’t really care for cereal.
Tex: Great Value Apple Fritters Cereal (it’s discontinued and he pays $60 on ebay each time he needs another box.) Usually just has Blanton Gold Label for breakfast (it’s whiskey).
Lightning: Cocoa puffs, Reese’s Pieces Cereal, anything incredibly sweet and borderline life threatening. The occasional Cheerio.
Mater: anything you put in front of him. whether or not it’s edible is not important.
Bobby: actually doesn’t like cereal. mostly just doesn’t like milk and won’t eat it dry.
Brick: Frosted Flakes but ONLY the ones that are travel sized. He said they don’t taste the same as the big box. Also says that if they’re bought in the store, they taste different than the ones from the hotel breakfast line.
Sally: Honey Smacks, Choco Chimps. thinks the chimp is cute. drinks a glass of orange juice with her cereal and it drives Lightning insane.
Doc: He’s a doctor and only eats Raisin Bran and Cheerios because sugary cereal is bad for you…………
Cocoa Krispies. he likes when they go *pop pop pop*
Sheriff: he’s a simple man and doesn’t ask for much.
German cereal Vitalis Schoko Müsli Klassisch, Kelloggs ICEE cereal and Peeps cereal. makes Doc cry. who tf introduced him to those.
Sarge: MRE Future Essentials Corn Flakes Cereal #10 Can. man has not shit in six years.
Louise: There’s a discontinued brand of strawberry yogurt Cheerios that she used to love. She swears on her life it existed and the boys like to mess with her and swear otherwise.
Junior: also fucks with Gerber snacks for baby. Prefers apple sauce from the squeeze tube--
earlier today the brain cells bounced off of each other and i was reminded of how proud thomasville was and still is of doc. no matter what, they loved him. their speedway sign still has his name and face proudly plastered on it, its proud claim of being his hometown, the sign is in beautiful condition despite it being over fifty years old, not a single thing was changed about it. the billboards in the track itself havent been changed one bit, it still has docs ad for smokeys garage, although in a little more disarray than the speedway sign, its still there.
smokey always knew doc would come back. he has a picture on the workbench in his garage of himself and doc (along with pictures of the others scattered around). they still have the old race tapes with doc in them, smokey knew exactly where they were otherwise we wouldnt have had the scene where theyre outside the garage with it being projected on the wall
there are still posters in the cotter pin of doc, and although all the old racing posters are still up (the ones about the crew anyways) they left docs to stay. they were so fucking proud of him guys. they loved him so much
> if you couldn't TELL, I love the racing legends so much but it pains me that not anywhere else does River Scott's struggles to get into racing are mentioned but Nash's comment on life being too short to take no and having to steal a number to race before directing to Scott, he responds with "if we waited for an invitation, we might have never raced".

> Though thats where it ends as no where, at least I've been interacting with cars character descriptions, do I find them ever mention this fact. Not of who he's based on, but that's he's cleary black, VOICED by a black voice actor, and must have faced black struggles during that era. You can find Nash's struggles commented on which is good, but without fail so far...Scott's is unmentioned.
> Maybe, there was no racism in cars. I'd agree, kids film, but Nash is right there. Misogyny is clearly established as are American events in cars. Now, not going to go the deepest in world on very real life tragic events in a PIXARS CARS POST of all things, not appropriate at all. I just kinda hate how its ignored. Because it's a real issue within the racing sports starting days and you're going to stare at me and tell me that its not gonna least be whispered upon BUT that barely connecting dialog. The man he's based on, FACED these struggles as did Nash's inspiration, and though I find Nash's always mentioned. Scotts...just Scott.

I'm not begging for this guy to face racism but does it feel worse to pretend its not there while mentioning another known heavy issue?

Francesco : Caught Francesco mid sneeze while his mamma held an expression full of sass with her hand up looking about ready to smack him for sneezing in her general direction. (The sneeze scared mamma Bernoulli so bad that she ended up punching him in the cheek on accident-)
Bobby : A photo got taken of him crouched down on the ground in a squat with his fists drawn back and looking up at a flabbergasted Cal and Lightning like he was ready to throw down with the two of them while some other racers stand in the background with looks of disbelief. (He was retelling a story about a fight he had been in once with a guy who thought he could beat him if he was in a constant crouch position)
Lightning : Some lucky bastard managed to snap a photo of Lightning being picked up Simba style against his will by a very exhausted looking Doc. Lightning's clearly in the middle of complaining/throwing a tantrum about something while the rest of the pit crew watches on, completely unamused or done with Lightning's shit. (Bro wanted McDonalds after one of the races; Doc said no)
Cal : A photo was taken of Cal mid massive bite into a huge burrito wrap. There are other racers around him making faces of shock, excitement, and joy as they all hold up phones to record videos or take pictures for themselves. (It was a dare that Cal took from Lightning who said he couldn't down a massive burrito wrap in under thirty seconds. He managed to do it, but he threw all of it up not fifteen minutes later)
Darrell : There's a photo of a younger Darrell Cartrip awkwardly trying to start a conversation with an equally younger and equally as awkward Bob Cutlass like they were two teenagers on a first date with each other floating around somewhere on the internet. (It was love at first sight and gay panic. Darrell fuckin' panicked -h a r d- and forgot that he was a commentary man for racing for like- the entire first exchange they had-)
Dale Jr. : There's a captured moment of Dale Jr getting smacked in the face with one of Lynda's freshly home made pie by veteran racers Strip Weathers, Mario Andretti, Darrell Cartrip, and his own father, Dale Sr. at the end of his first season with dozens of other racers laughing in the background with flashing cameras. (It was their way welcoming Dale Jr into the big leagues, mainly cuz Dale Sr wasn't gonna let his son touch a drop of moonshine)
Doc : There's a hella old photo of him in the middle of falling off the hood of his Hornet. Junior Moon is watching with his arms crossed, River appears to be attempting to move to catch him only to be too late, and Louise is already laughing in the photo. (Bro was listening to Louise tell a joke and laughed so hard that he lost balance)
Strip : A photo that has been circling around the internet is one of a rookie Strip Weathers completely and utterly passed out drunk, slumped against a cement barrier wall with an empty bottle of moonshine in one hand. Lynda is seated by his side, one arm wrapped around Strip's waist as she death glares the camera operator and gives them the bird. (He had to shotgun the bottle of moonshine as a part of a rookie initiation tradition not half an hour earlier, and Lynda was flicking off Mario Andretti who was behind the camera operator because he was getting too close with a marker)
Chick : There's a picture of him as a rookie getting slapped in the face by a younger Lynda Weathers with Strip leaning back and holding his hands up in surrender behind her looking absolutely -s h o o k-. (The video clip tells everyone that she slapped Chick because he wouldn't stop trying to make advances on her when her then boyfriend and future husband was standing right next to her)
Jeff : He's getting his ass handed to him by Lewis Hamilton in one picture as they wrestled on one of the grassy parts of a race track. He's face down in the photo as Lewis sits on top of him shoving his face in the grass. (Bro told Lewis to fight him because he thought he'd have an even greater advantage on him because he was taller. He in fact did not have an advantage)
