Sunday Comin’ Down - RKDN Edition
Say hi to Utah alt-pop band RKDN, who gave us some catchy tunes for today’s Sunday Comin Down Playlist including tracks from Disclosure, Tame Impala, and Lorde. (Also, who else is craving some pho after looking at their group selfie?)

Reasons you should listen to and spread this:
1. I know these guys. They’re super talented. I’m madly in love with the drummer and low-key in love with the rest of them. Totally unashamed, unapologetic indie pop.
2. They won The Velour’s BOTB last winter. Only music venue I actually enjoy visiting. Like, this place produced Neon Trees, Imagine Dragons, Fictionist, etc.
3. They opened for Bastille last week in SLC. Some people enjoyed them more than Bastille.
4. Album coming early next year. I’ve heard some of it already, and I can’t promote it enough.
5. They love Mexican food. There’s a line in “Dancer” that’s about Matt’s favorite Mexican place. Not kidding.
6. Please.

Utah based alt pop band RKDN revealed their debut single late last week. Silver is a glistening synthesis of uptempo dance pop and alt rock. The wildly infectious song is a striking way to draw us into the quartet’s music as they ready a debut album for early 2016. RKDN will be playing an upcoming hometown date with Bastille at The Complex in Salt Lake City come December 7th, a fine fit considering their debut reminds me of both Bastille and Imagine Dragons, particularly earlier Imagine Dragons.
