he sees her at lunch hour, but she doesn’t see him. she’s busy, talking to one of the other trainees, appearing as in her element as heejin always has to daniel.

it comes as a surprise. after all, everyone knew heejin was a trc trainee following the mgas. it wasn’t a secret. there could be no mishaps, but by now, after seeing seungah here, and her debuting under sphere, maybe he should know better. is heejin here for the same reason? has she been here this whole time and he just didn’t see her before? no, sphere isn’t that big. the heartz project did add mina, so maybe they brought more girls from other companies too, or maybe it’s just something else entirely.

either way, here’s heejin, his first partner on the second season of the mgas. it’s been more than a year since their first working together. he always secretly hoped they could reunite and collaborate again, but never brought it up to her, the aftermath of the mgas and empty enigma’s disbandment too hard on him, then giving way to training not long after. it’s funny that he was so afraid of her then, intimidated by her talent, but now, even with the dismal associations he has with the fifth season of the mgas, he’s just happy to see her.

he doesn’t want to be creepy; he just wants to surprise her. he never told heejin he was a trainee, let alone in sphere, so it’ll be fun-- one of the better surprises he’s been responsible for. he hopes so, anyway.

once they’re safely in the hallway, daniel sidles up to her and slings an arm over her shoulder. immediately after he does, he realizes it might make her uncomfortable, and subsequently forgets whatever witty thing he intended to say. typical.

still, he recovers with a, “hello stranger, what brings you here?” and a grin, just a little cheeky. (maybe he still has some of his more confident hannah montana alter ego in him after all.)

When he’d seen the article, Jeongguk almost threw his phone across the room in anger. The only reason that stopped him from doing so where the texts and pictures he had saved on this device, which he hadn’t transferred yet and didn’t want to lose. So instead he grit his teeth together and exhaled a long breath. He hadn’t cared about being eliminated so early from the MGAs as it had proven to be one hell of a controversial show. Feeling like he had dodged a major bullet from getting further involved with it, he know felt like perhaps he shouldn’t have participated at all.

To call his early elimination an embarrassment- he had been fucking, damn proud of that choreography back then and still was today! 

While he could see why they thought he’d been a little too over-ambitious (showing his abs and everything), it was HIS choreography and no one could judge it better than himself. It was just like stupid art critiques reading intentions and feelings into his pictures that had never been there and then having the audacity to evaluate him based on their judgement.

It was HIS art and only HE had full understanding of the weaknesses and strength of the execution of HIS art.

With a lot more skill under his belt and the means and methods to present his art in a way that hadn’t been slandered by public television, he thus decided to drum some folks together and record that choreography of his. If KT was too busy trying to do damage control over their poor management, then he’d take it into his own hands to show the world just exactly what he was capable of so that no netizen out there would ever call him “a cute assistant” because it was the only knowledge they’d get of him.

With Jimin, Johnny, Heejin and Gahyeon to accompany him, people were bound to click that stupid video when he’d upload it. 

Grabbing a practice room in Seocho, he was thankful all of them had agreed to help him and work together on this project despite all their busy schedules. Gahyeon was a huge help to him as well for giving pointers to certain parts of his execution that could use some fine tuning. Respecting the girl’s opinion a lot he did his best to reflect upon her advice and turn the choreography into something that no one would ever even dare call an embarrassment ever again.

Looking at the finished upload he couldn’t help but smirk, raising his hands to deliver high fives all around. “Dinner’s on me tonight, guys. I owe you all big time.”

sometimes, there was simply no better way to unwind and relax for a bit than jumping madly around an empty practice building loudly singling along to old american hits. which why he currently found himself, microphone in hand, speaker turned up to full, jumping around one of the practice rooms in trc and shouting all the lyrics to call me by blondie. and sure, it was probably embarrassing, but jordan had hardly ever cared about that. 

he currently didn’t have a care in the world, barely even hearing the practice room door open as the chorus of the song started. though, he eventually realised that there was someone else in the room with him now, though he just spun around on his feet, only taking a second to realize who it was, deciding that he didn’t care someone else was there, and simply continued to sing rather dramatically. there was no chance he was stopping until he reached the end of the song. 

or, maybe more likely, one of the coaches showed up and told him to stop because it was too loud.

maybe it was because she had been in her own world for much of july, but she hadn’t really gotten around to talk with the new additions much. she herself had been intheir shoes when she had come from nova in march and she remembered how nice it felt that the sphere trainees had welcome her-- so she figured she needed to do something similar as well ( now while she had the time ). 

sooyoung peeked into one of the sphere practice rooms to see if there was anyone inside, she wans’t apart of the group dance this month ( which felt a little odd to her ).

inside the practice room she spotted an unfamilar face, though she was sure she had seen the female before, then she rememebred the lsat season of the mgas and if she wasn’t completely mistaken it was one of the girls from then, sooyoung knocked on the door, not wanting to startle her incase she was busy practicing. sooyoung didn’t want to disturb her but she wanted to make the other feel welcome as well.

“hello,” sooyoung says, her voice low and calm as she smiles in the direction of the female, “are you busy?”

how strange, it was her first time really meeting heejin face to face but the moment she saw her she genuinely looked like herself few years younger but with better hair. minhee stared at the other completely bewildered on this, they weren’t related or anything like that. she even had  mole under her eye like herself, it was truly fascinating. she hope she didn’t freak the younger out just staring at the other examining the other person facial features, “this is uncanny, are you sure you aren’t one of my relatives?” she questioned curiously feeling completely puzzled by this and slightly freaking herself out as it could be her doppelganger. there is obvious differences between the two but there wasn’t that much heejin could easily passed her younger sibling. 

“oh well...anyways would you like some food??? I’m starving~” she piped up wondering whether the younger need some feeding as does like looking after people even though heejin still does freak her out a bit and need to get use to her presence. it isn’t her fault, it just she is literally younger certainly more talented version of herself appearance wise she doesn’t really know the girl’s personality, if they are similar in that and she made her little bit of breakdown.

he does his best to silence the clatter of the lunch tray when he sets it down, hand underneath the edge of the tray as he grins when he sits down next to heejin. ‘course he could’ve asked first but she seems to be sitting alone for now and he’s impatient, itching to ask her a question since he heard the song and wanted to cover it. whether it’s for an evaluation or not, he’s been wanting to work with her in a studio since the mgas ended, since their team was split up and their paths somehow still led to them being in the same company. 

truthfully, there was an entire list of songs he’d love to hear heejin sing, himself involved or not, and he thinks he owes it all to the uniqueness of her voice, to his faith in her talent, to the amount of skill she’s learned despite her age. his admiration for her knows no bounds and it’s carried in the curl of his smile, how the corners of his eyes soften when he looks at her. affection like this isn’t new to him but he does realize she’s one of the few females to receive it, especially a younger one. the other one that comes to mind is one he childishly calls broccoli head all the time. “mind if i sit with you today? i gotta say it might mean a wild chanyeol might appear. i suggest you get some great balls or mega balls if you wanna catch him before he tries to catch you first.” because trc trainees as pokemon masters or pokemon themselves? man, he’d love to see that.

truth be told, something like this is the last place chanyeol though he would end up. while he’s not exactly averse to the idea of fashion and all the things that come with it, it’s not exactly his forte either, especially since he’s been training for almost three years now, and that meant wearing sweats and athletic wear every day of the week. still, as out of place as he feels, it’s at least nice for a change of pace, a change of scenery, never mind the fact that he feels completely under dressed, especially compared to his company for the evening, but he’s never really cared about what other people thought about him anyway. at least it makes heejin’s outfit stand out more---that’s what he keeps telling himself anyway.

makeup is yet another subject he doesn’t consider himself well-versed in, and yet again, he finds himself in the midst of it all, recognizing some of the items, but confused by much of the rest, not knowing what each is used for, and all tools---all those brushes---just seemed excessive. but heejin seems to be enjoying herself, perusing the makeup sampling and using him as a canvas, his forearm lit up with every which shade of red and various other colors, and it’s something he doesn’t really mind. he just wonders if it’ll come off easily when he goes to wash it off once he gets home.

as he follows heejin around like some lost puppy, he stops for a moment, intrigued by a cylinder shape, picking it up off of the display and holding it up to better observe. it looks kind of like a lip gloss from the outside, but when he twists the cap off, the applicator looks completely different, kind of feathery, and the color is pitch black. “heejin,” he calls out, waving the thing in his hands before holding the wand up to his lips as if he’s about to apply it. “are black-colored lips a new trend or something?”
