now it's rambling/headcanon time bcuz i've been unhealthily obsessed with spamton and the addisons since chapter 2 came out:

when i call spam an attention seeker, i do it lovingly❤️‍🩹, partly out of self-projection

b4 he became a big shot/got in touch with his benefactor, he canonically had little luck in sales, so i feel like this lack of customers would manifest in a quiet but desperate need to be "seen"

like "look at me,, damn!!" type shit.. but he's also fucking horrible at masking his emotions sometimes

he thinks he's being lowkey and non-chalant, but he is simply not That Guy™

everyone can practically SEE the insecurity coming off of him, and his anxious demeanor is partly why he hasn't experienced much success

he can't fake it and put on a "sales" face like all the other addisons,, he just has that award-losing smile

just sweats profusely, wanting to do ANYTHING else

but his sole purpose as a darkner is to >sell<, and what else does he have? what does it say about him if he's no good at the one thing he was meant to do??

he kinda develops a superiority complex to cope with everything, and the addisons both love/hate him for it

they think he's funny enough to keep around and subtly make fun of, but don't like whenever he boasts about his future success and puts them down

like, sure bud.. you go do that

spam isn't the only asshole here. i like to think that ALL addisons have a bit of an edge to them

something something it helps with sales... have you ever met an irl salesperson that wasn't relentlessly pushy? leave me alone!!

they do care about each other in their own weird way (even spamton) but a lot of the time it's like that one meme

thinking of naming my 2 am radio show, "And All's Well," so i can introduce the show by saying the time and alls well. I can open the show by saying "It's 2 o'clock, and All's Well," and that's the only way i'd ever say the name, when mentioning the show, the show's name would only ever be said as "It's (X) o'clock and All's Well"

Is that funny or just stupid, like, is that an identifiable enough joke for people to immediately associate the phrase with like old english city guard bullshit.

I dunno I read guards guards a few months ago and immediately realized that even though it was the first time i consciously read that phrase, "It's 10 o'clock and all's well" is archetypal fantasy kingdom bullshit, baked into my subconcious brain in old medieval style movies

I would like to defend Tom from ANY slander regarding today's Party Quirks, because I would have had absolutely no idea what AJ was trying to do either:

- that is NOT what Mickey mouse sounds like - it sounds more like Miss Piggy than anything

- his hands did not look like mouse ears

- I don't think he actually actively did the pickles clue unless someone else brought it up

- he basically gave up almost instantly on like Disney references or anything that Mickey mouse actually does that would have been identifiable

- he went Irish at one point???

- he kept doing Goofys laugh???

This is not a hate post btw i am totally taking the mick (sfth reference??????!!!!!), but it was so funny that AJ was like "AND THEY SAY IM BAD" and like my guy NONE of that was Tom's fault I genuinely think you've just never actually heard of Mickey mouse 😭
