How Price found out his muppets were together:

Simon and Johnny: It took him a few months to figure out. He started suspecting it when their playful flirting over coms got to this point where he felt like he needed to shower after listening to their conversation, but one night he was up late at night and till this day regrets waking down their hall…and now he gets why he’s found poor Gaz sleeping on the couch in the common room multiple times…

Farah and Alex: He figured out slowly. He slowly took notice on all the lingering in their hands touching when they passed each other something, how neither would move their hand or foot when they were touching or overlapping, Farah’s smell always lingering on Alex, and so many more little things. His thoughts were confirmed when he saw a hickey on Alex’s after he and Farah were out for a few hours.

Gaz and Roach: Never fucking knew till he got their wedding invitation. He always thought their flirting was playful because that’s how it looked, especially because Gaz acted the same way with Soap and that’s his best friend.

like he likes christmas and all but there’s a lot of his downtime being spent under blankets on the bed while he doomscrolls

ghost spends a lot of time cuddling johnny and making sure he showers and eats

But the second he has free time?

That man is asleep on the couch or his room or Gary’s room buried in Gary’s hoodie.

SNOWBOUND

(@k9-cryptid if you say RoachGaz, then RoachGaz you will recieve. I've never written Roach before so bear with me)

The wind howled like something alive.

Gaz braced himself against it, boots sinking into knee-deep snow as another gust tore across the ridgeline. Visibility had dropped to almost nothing—white swallowing white, the horizon erased. The world felt reduced to sound and instinct, both of which were screaming that his mission had gone to hell.

“Price, say again,” Gaz said into his mic, turning his body to shield his words from the wind.

Static.

He exhaled sharply, then glanced to his right. Roach was still there—solid, unmoving, rifle held steady despite the storm. Snow clung to the edges of his hood and mask, already trying to claim him as part of the icy landscape.

Gaz didn’t need to see Roach’s face to know he was alert. He never did.

“Alright,” Gaz muttered, mostly to himself. “Looks like it’s just us for now.”

Roach shifted, subtle but deliberate. He tapped twice against his own forearm—acknowledged—then pointed downslope, where the ground dipped into what might have been a ravine once.

Gaz followed the gesture, nodding. “Yeah. Shelter.”

They moved together without further discussion, bodies angled into the wind. Years of training and worse had tuned them to each other in ways Gaz didn’t think the rest of the team fully understood. Roach didn’t speak. Didn’t need to. Gaz had learned to listen differently.

The descent was slow and treacherous. Ice hid beneath the snow, waiting for a wrong step. Gaz slipped once, catching himself just in time, and felt Roach’s gloved hand clamp onto his arm. Firm. Grounding.

“Got me,” Gaz said, breathless.

Roach nodded, but he didn’t let go.

The ravine turned out to be deeper than expected, its stone walls cutting the worst of the wind. The snow here was thinner, packed hard by years of drifting. Gaz crouched, scanning the narrow space.

“This’ll do,” he decided. “At least till the storm breaks.”

They tucked themselves against the rock face, backs to stone, rifles across their laps, knees knocking together. Gaz checked his pack—supplies intact, radio still useless. He rolled his shoulders, tension settling deep into his bones.

Silence fell, heavy but not comfortable.

Gaz had always found it strange how easy quiet was with Roach. With anyone else, silence pressed in, demanded to be filled. With Roach, it simply existed. A shared thing.

Minutes passed. Maybe more. Time was hard to judge when the world was nothing but grey and wind.

Gaz glanced sideways. Roach hadn’t moved much, but his posture was off—just slightly. A stiffness that hadn’t been there earlier.

“You already?” Gaz asked quietly. Roach hesitated. Then slowly, he shook his head once.

Gaz’s jaw tightened. He sits up straighter. “Where?”

Roach reached down and pressed two fingers against his left side, just under the ribs. He didn’t dramatise it. Didn’t need to. Gaz has known Roach long enough to recognise his pain.

“Damn it,” Gaz murmured. “You should’ve said something.”

Roach tilted his head, a wordless when would I have?

Gaz huffed despite himself. “Yeah.”

He shifted closer, careful not to jostle him, and tugged open Roach’s jacket. Blood had darkened the fabric, already stiffening in the cold.

“Shrapnel?” Gaz guessed.

Roach nodded once, his eyes squinted in pain.

“Alright. We can handle this.”

Gaz worked quickly, hands steady despite the cold biting at his fingers. He cleaned and dressed the wound the best he could, movements practised, gentle. Roach watche dhim, unflinching—even when Gaz kenw it hurt.

“You’re impossible, you know that?” Gaz said under his breath.

Roach’s eyes crinkled at the corners. If he’d been anyone else, Gaz might’ve missed it. But he didn’t.

The storm intensified as night crept in, darkness bleeding into the white. The temperature dropped fast, cold seeping through layers, settling into muscle and bone. Gaz adjusted their position, pulling Roach closer to conserve heat.

Roach didn’t resisit.

They sat shoulder to shoulder now, Gaz’s arm brushing Roach’s with every breath. The contact was small, but it mattered. Gaz was overly aware of it—of the steady rise and fall beside him, the quiet reassurance of another presence in a world that felt intent on erasing them.

“You know,” Gaz said after a while, voice low, “if Price finds out I let you get hurt, he’ll never let us hear the end of it.”

Roach’s shoulders shifted in what Gaz identified as amusement.

The hours dragged. Gaz fought sleep, knowing how dangerous it was in this cold. He nudged Roach occasionally, kept him enganged with small movements, quiet check-ins. Each time, Roach responded—slow but present.

At some point, Roach leaned into him. Just slightly. Enough that Gaz felt the weight of it, the trust.

Gaz froze for half a second—then adjusted, angling his body to better support him. He rested his head back against the stone, eyes scanning the storm beyond the ravine.

“I’ve got you,” he said quietly, not entirely sure who he was reassuring.

Roach’s gloved hand curled briefly into the fabric of Gaz’s sleeve. Just once. Then relaxed.

When the storm finally began to break, the wind easing into something manageable, Gaz let out a breath he felt like he’d been holding all night.

“See?” he murmured. “Told you we’d be fine.”

Roach didn’t answer—but he didn’t need to. He was still there. Still breathing. Still solid against Gaz’s side.

And for Gaz, in that frozen, battered corner of the world, that was everything.

I know it was just head canons in my last ask, not much for you to actually expand on, but I have a request oh great Author. Well, technically two of them, but I'm not sure if you write Kortac characters. I'll send the Kortac one here, and then make another ask with the plain 141, so feel free to just ignore this one. Warning, I'm still highly medicated at the moment.

The 141 is forced to work with the Gun for Hire company Kortac. I think they've got their own ranking system, so while König is considered a colonel to his people, it doesn't mean shite to the actual military personnel.

König (208 cm) and Ghost (193 cm) get along surprisingly well, both lamenting over the world being too small for them. While König is definitely not normal like Ghost, he can at least compartmentalise better than most people.

König brings his boyfriend Horangi with him, and Soap is just like, "have I blown you up before?" because he overheard Horangi and Gaz talking about their most traumatic injuries. (Gaz: Helicopter. Horangi: Getting blown up and barely surviving.)

Horangi: "Most likely, which means you failed."

Que Soap spending the entire mission trying to figure out when he almost killed Horangi (spoiler, they've never run into each other) while their boyfriends watch from the sidelines in chairs that are too small.

Bonerrrr y'all are keeping me FED

I feel like I've made enough Gaz appreciation posts that I can make something for König.

Did you know- I was actually a König simp before anything else? I didn't even know what CoD was (outside of toxic lobby voice chat memes) before him. I'm just always hesitant to write anything about the big anxiety cuddlebug because A: the Gaz vs. König debate scares me, I'm so sick of people replacing Gaz but I also love König with all my heart, and B: (more importantly) he's pure fan characterization. It's too much of a risk to accidently write him 'wrong' cus I imagine him one way.

Now onto the sillies.

I was gonna draw something but I got too many thinks I gotta get out so I skipped it for now. But the mentor image of two big spooky guys, looming around and staring at these short loud men, sitting in chairs way too small? I think they're very much 'sitting in silence=friendship' kinda guys.

Like- Soap and Horangi running around outside, having fun after a mission (Gaz is here too, you'll see why later), they've already gotten in trouble for trying to steal Roach, eaten allll the snacks, and probably hidden several traps for the others to find later.

Ghost and König in the shade, one of them is giving the death stare, the other is sharpening knives. Why? Because König has resting murder face (with the mask on, without it he looks like a drowned rat who needs a hug) and knives are Ghost's autistic hobby.

And don't get it confused- both of these pares are literally besties now. Yeah Horangi and Soap are planning to go out for drinks and keep in touch once Kortac has to leave whereas König and Ghost haven't said a word to each other in over an hour. That's just their style.

König proved himself in the field, showed strength, leadership, and protected his men when it came down to it. That's enough for Ghost.

Besides, they're both used to... Noisy boyfriends, some quiet is definitely appreciated.

AND THEN ROACH COME UP-

König- "I like my small angry husband" :)

Ghost- "I like my small angry husband" :)

Roach- 'i like my small angry husband" :3

Ghost- "..."

König- "Pardon?"

Ghost- "Roach... Bbg, you *are* the small husband. Just cus Gaz is short doesn't make you tall."

Roach- :(

König- "???"

Ghost- "fine. You can join the 'has a small angry husband' club even though your husband is not small or angry."

Soap and Gaz are each others go-to person when they're feeling really down when on base for the longest time, and every single time they have the same solution to cheer each other up.

They always take a walk off base to a nearby convince store and get ""a little treat"". Of course, as they're walking they're being dumbasses and saying the strangest shit to get the other to laugh, and their ritual works well.

This also just so happens to be the times where they'll talk about whomever they may or may not be swooning over, Soap talks non stop about the mixed signals he gets from Ghost and how his crush is tearing him apart. Gaz lists all the ridiculous things that Roach got up to throughout the day and how hopelessly in love he keeps falls despite it all. Gaz is completely unhelpful with Soap's crush, so he decides to get some revenge.

Roach gets invited to their little snack run, and Soap has to hold in his laughter as he watches his best friend hopelessly swoon and panic throughout the night.
