I love Jack and James as this greatest enemies to lovers vibes potc gave us ♥️ but sometimes, just sometimes, I can't stop thinking about some what-if universe where Sins of the father events are in the script. But it's different cause when teen Jack sees how Larry Norrington & Co treat little Jamie, he not only has his canon compassion for James but also decides to act.

And what if Jack and his pirates, what if Jack and Gibbs!, take James with them? What if Larry is not or stops looking for James? (we know well how cruel he can be, right).

Like, the world where James understands Jack (and sees how bad old Norrington is) from the beginning. Where James becomes a pirate very early in life. Where James and Jack are an inseparable duo/battle couple. What if Gibbs takes care of both of them? What if they fight with Larry? And with Royal Navy? What if they have adventures together? What if they still meet willabeth (willabeth happens in every universe, okay) and other friends? What if sparrington but as friends to friends & lovers? 😭
