Fandom and what it means to me has been on my mind a LOT lately. I wrote a book about it, I'm planning a podcast about it...so the subject is obviously one I'm passionate about. Ten years ago, a slew of people (some of which I got to laugh the night away with yesterday) came into my life simply because we were all fans of the same thing. They are the people I cry with, laugh with, and flail with. They are still the truest and most reliable friends I have ever had, and as embarrassing as we were as 16 year olds, I wouldn't change a thing. Fandom is what makes me feel alive, and as we stood on 49th street together, the same street we spent too much of our pubescent years loitering on, I felt just as alive as I did the first time I ever saw the thing that brought us together in the first place. #TGO #thankgodforfandom #indefenseofthefangirl #EON #robdevaney #twomonths #jellicle #xclusives (at Eugene O'Neill Theatre)
