I groaned as there was a knock on the door. Rolling off the couch, I yelped as I hit the floor.

“crap.” I muttered, pushing myself off the floor and onto my knees. There was another knock on the door as I hoisted myself up. “I’m coming. I’m coming.” I opened the door and stared at Robert. “Huh?”

“You forget i was dropping shit off today?” He asked as he looked me over. I ran my hand down my face and nodded. “You forgot.” He chuckled as I held my hand up, beckoning him into the house while also asking him to wait for me.

“shut up Robert.” I shot back. “It has been a long ass day. Hell a long ass week.” I heard the bags hit the table.

“well that explains the…products.” He said. I giggled as I pictured the disgusted look on his face as he peeked into the bag. “What the fuck kind of thing is this? Different sizes for different…what the fuck is a flow?” I openly laughed as o came back into the room with the money. Robert tossed the package at me with a confused look.

“if you must know, Mr. Macho man, a flow is how much blood comes out of you.” I shot back. Robert furrowed his eyebrows and looked at me like he’d just licked a lemon. “Yeah. Wish I didn’t have to know that too.” I said as I put the package back in the bag. “But…” I sighed as I handed him the money. “I’m gonna have to skip your tip. You forgot my painkillers.” I shook my head in mock disappointment. Robert chuckled and pulled a bottle out of his pocket.

“keep em.” He said with a wink. “I pulled a muscle the other day and grabbed some.” I nodded as I played with the bottle. “All better now.” He said, rotating his arm to prove it.

“thanks.” I said. “Tips already in there. But you knew that.” Robert nodded with a smile. “See you next week?”

“yeah. Unless you find something else that was forgotten.” He said with a smile.

“if I find out you left something out so you could come back…” I teased. “Asking me out would be easier.” Robert shrugged with a teasing look in his eye. Shaking my head, I held the door open for him.

“Well…” he shrugged. “See ya next week.” He winked at me before leaving. I shook my head with a smile. Closing my door, I turned back towards the bag. I groaned before grabbing the bottle and heading towards my kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water before taking two of the pills. The bottle was left on my counter as I headed back to put my groceries away. I gripped the table as I felt the room sway, package of pads clinched tightly in the other hand. I felt my nails break the plastic wrap as I pitched to the side. My door opened and I hit the floor. I squeezed my eyes shut as the impact jostled me. a dark chuckle made me open them.

“Robert?” I slurred as he reached out and moved some hair out of my face.

“took you long enough sweetheart.” He chuckled. “Taking you out on a date isn’t enough.” My head lolled to the side as he picked me up.

“what do you mean?” I mumbled as it got harder to stay awake. “Robert…what…did…”

“I plan to keep you.” My door slammed shut behind him as he pulled me out to his truck. “Forever.”
