Habemus Papam! We have a Pope! 🇺🇸
The Cardinals gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel have elected Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th Pope, who took the name Pope Leo XIV.
It still kinda makes me giggle-snort that the new Pope's last name is "Prevost", because it's literally one vowel away to the word "prevosto".
In Italian local dialect, "prevosto" means "priest" and, as someone pointed out last night on Discord, this means that, at some point in his career, he pretty much was "Priest Priest".
Which I instantly likened to ye olde "Moon Moon" meme.
Which in turn made me realise that Christians got themselves a "Pope Moon Moon I".
But what does there being an Chicago Pope mean for Pizza?
Are non Chicago style Pizzas satanic now?
