Time to review an animated movie. Recently, I started a movie challenge. I have a big list of movies that I want to see. I don’t know about you, but there are times that I feel like watching a movie, but I just don’t know what to see. In the end, I end up watching nothing at all. So, I started a challenge for me: pick a random movie of my list. In my first “random choice”, Big Hero 6 was the movie. I’ve heard mixed opinions about this movie. Some people say it’s a really good and emotional, while others think it’s mediocre. Personally, I’m in between. This is one of those movies that is both generic and creative, at the same time. Generic, in terms of story, but incredible in terms of animation, action scenes and amazing combination of colors. Gosh, this is such a gorgeous movie to gifset. This is a fun family movie. It has a good message, fun characters, and beautiful animation. If you like animated movies, then give this one a try. I will give it an 8 out of 10.

Ferdinando é um touro com um temperamento calmo e tranquilo, que prefere sentar-se embaixo de uma árvore e relaxar ao invés de correr por aí bufando e batendo cabeça com os outros. A medida que vai crescendo, ele se torna forte e grande, mas com o mesmo pensamento. Quando cinco homens vão até sua fazenda para escolher o melhor animal para touradas em Madri, Ferdinando é selecionado acidentalmente. (fonte: adorocinema.com)

Para os fãs das antigas animações Disney, o título é bastante familiar. Baseado no livro infantil de Munro Leaf, publicado em 1936, a animação chegou a ser premiada com um Oscar. A mensagem pacifista, incorporada por um imenso touro que preferia flores a brigas, encantou crianças (e adultos).

Esta versão em longa-metragem segue a mesma ideia, mas é nitidamente mais voltada para a criançada. Diferente das animações da concorrente Pixar, ela carece da metalinguagem e das referências que fazem o deleite dos marmanjos. 

Mas mesmo assim, merece ser vista. Os personagens carismáticos, as críticas explícitas ao preconceito e aos maus tratos a animais, o cuidado na produção e a atenção aos detalhes são mais que suficiente para fazer valer a pena.

Com roteiro de Robert L. Baird e Daniel Gerson, dupla que trabalhou em Operação Big Hero [2014], o filme tem direção do animador Brian Fee.

A animação estreia no Brasil em 13 de julho.
