Here’s the prequel to Monsters, Inc and...I am not the biggest fan of it. It’s a cute movie about Mike and Sullay and how they met but...did we really needed to know? This movie is like one of those high scool/university type of movies, but with characters we love. It’s not a terrible movie at all, but it’s not as interesting as the first one. The new characters are ok, for the most part. The new “villains” are quite forgettable, to be honest. The plot is generic. The first movie had an unique story, but with a typical story telling. This one is just generic overall. If you like the first movie, then you will possibly enjoy this one as well, but not as much.

No novo filme, McQueen está pronto para provar a uma nova geração de pilotos que ele ainda é o melhor carro de corrida do mundo, enquanto relembra sobre Doc Hudson, seu falecido mentor.

Estão no elenco Owen Wilson (Viagem a Darjeeling [2007]), Armie Hammer (O Agente da U.N.C.L.E. [2015]), Bonnie Hunt (Zootopia [2016]), Tony Shalhoub (Monk [2002 - 2009]), Cristela Alonzo (Cristela [2014 - 2015]), Katherine Helmond (Brazil [1985]), Cheech Marin (O Rei Leão [1994]) e Paul Dooley (Gatinhas e Gatões [1984]).

Com roteiro de Robert L. Baird e Daniel Gerson, dupla que trabalhou em Operação Big Hero [2014], o filme tem direção do animador Brian Fee.
