Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive (Mccready x Reader)

I thought it would be a fun idea to do male Fallout characters x readers based on different Fallout 4 songs!

Summary: Mccready is just a little irritated but can't help but find your teasing endearing.

Warnings: Normal Fallout warnings and extreme fluff.

It was safe to say that Mccready was not happy at all...

The space between his brows was creased and his chapped lips were turned into a scowl as he walked alongside you. From anyone else's point of view, it would seem as though he was seconds away from killing someone but to you, it was like a childish tantrum.

Why was he like this you ask?

Well, it all started when you bumped into a group of super mutants while you were both enjoying a well-deserved meal of iguana-on-a-stick. And boy... Mccready was starving. He had just finished taking his first bite when the mutated numbskull shot it right out of his hands. Straight onto the floor. And into one of its bloody pets' mouths.

It was soon an all-out warzone until Mccready had completely wiped them all out. You honestly didn't even get a chance to lift your gun. He dramatically kicked his boot into the radiated dirt with a grunt, threw his gun over his shoulder, and slumped off ahead,

Currently, you both were heading to Diamond City since it was the closest place with food in it. You spun yourself around and walked backward with your 10mm pistol occasionally bumping against your hip with your free hand swatting imaginary bugs away. "Come on Mr grumpy pants we're almost there! Then it's noodles on me!" you grinned at him as you had now turned to match his steps.

"Yeah, yeah doesn't make me any less hungry," he grumbled as he dragged his feet like a child, who had been told he couldn't get a piece of candy.

You both walked along the cracked roads, careful to duck from raiders, not in any mood to fight. When you had made it to a clear path you fiddled with your pip-boy. You eventually selected Diamond City radio and heard Travis' voice call out to his listeners. He announced the next song.

'Accentuate the Positive'

Mccready looked over toward you with a small warning glance. He knew what was coming especially with his current mood and the sudden poke on the cheek he received from you. And that's when he had to hold back a small grin. You started to hum along with the song before he could hear you mumble a few of your own lyrics.

"Mccready needs to ac-cen-chu-ate the positive feeling~..." You slowly edged closer to him until your arms were flushed against one another making sure to give a few gentle pokes to his ribs with each syllable of your tune. "And latch~ onto the affirmative." You continued as you pulled out a stick of bubblegum and slid it into his calloused hands with a shy grin. "And take~ this gum that I had saved for him."

Now he couldn't help but chuckle at the situation, mainly because of how you now had basically blinded him by pulling his hat to cover his eyes. He readjusted his hat and struggled to open the dusty foil wrapping of the sweet.

"Thanks, loser." he leaned down to kiss your forehead gently and link arms with you.

"You're very welcome, Mr Moody."

My Sole Survivor + Relationships Thing Answered

Sole Survivor: Jack Schmidt Best Female Friend: Other than Piper, it would be Cait. They spar together often and get along well. Jack talks about things with Cait that he can't with Piper. Best Male Friend: Nick. They get along well and give each other advice on things. The two tell stupid dad jokes to each other, and overall are the best of friends. Current romantic partner: Piper. They are not only lovers, but best friends. They are very loving towards each other, and are always there for each other. Their love is unconditional. What was their late spouse like?: Nora was a very caring and gentle person. She would take anyone under her wing, and was always very optimistic about everything, especially when they went down into the vault. Which companion is most like family?: Nick always seemed like a father figure to Jack, watching over him like a hawk. Which companion are they the most protective of?: Jack is very protective over Piper. If anything were to happen to her, he would never allow himself to get over the fact that he let something happen to her. Who is their closest confidante? Nick and Piper are the ones who he goes to if they have any secret matters they need to discuss. He trusts them with his life. Who do they get along least well with?: He gets along with all of his companions very well, but it would have to be Deacon. He doesn't like how he lies to get what he wants. Any companions jealous of their romantic partner?: Cait is a bit jealous of Jack and Piper's relationship. She wishes she could have a romantic relationship with someone. And though she won't admit it, she does have a small crush on Jack. Which companion would they like to spend more time with?: Honestly, he'd like to spend more time with all of them just so he can get to know them better. But, he does want to get to know Curie the most. Which companions would they play matchmakers with?: McCready and Curie. He thinks they could be a great couple. Curie could keep McCready out of trouble, and McCready could help Curie with her science experiments. Together, they could try to find a cure for Duncan. McCready has also talked to Jack about helping him talk to Curie, and he gladly accepted.
