My Top 25 Costumes from Star Trek : The Original Series
5. Roberta Lincoln Dress and Bag
Actually, in honor of the dude lecturing mostly female TOS fans about how they're being fanciful and overly emotional generous about the show's criticism of fascism-friendly women, obviously the only possible explanation is that TOS simply cannot imagine women as actually competent and effective, and it's very important that TOS fans all accept this—
Choose your favorite woman of the week recognized for her competence in Star Trek: The Original Series!

RIP Teri Garr (December 11, 1944-October 29, 2024)
Known for Young Frankenstein, Tootsie, and Friends, she was also the brightest spot in Star Trek's otherwise lackluster backdoor pilot of a Season Two finale, Assignment: Earth, as Roberta Lincoln. (After all, we know Kirk has a fondness for Lincolns.)
No one does it like Gary Seven from 'Assignment: Earth', the time traveller who carries a cat around with him LITERALLY everywhere he goes and has a day job disabling nuclear threats
Also respect for Roberta Lincoln who instead of dealing with his bullshit put him under hostage with his own weapon then criticized the cold war
God how I wish they could've become a spin off series!!!!
Not to forget that this episode also gave us Spock holding a cat:
RIP Terri Garr ♥️
Roberta Lincoln Star Trek TOS Assignment: Earth (1968).
Inga Young Frankenstein (1979).
1751
I've heard a lot of people say they don't like Assignment: Earth (TOS) but I thought it was really fun!! The wiki says it was originally supposed to become a spin off show, and low-key, I wish it had. I would have enjoyed watching it and seeing more of my girl Roberta in her bright pink and orange clothing 🥰🥰
assignment: earth bits
spock with a kitty
teri garr in an amazing outfit with amazing makeup
teri garr being incredibly relevant
poignant commentary that hits very close to home in the present despite the clear warnings
and obligatory end of season spirk
