It really bothers me that Robin and Beast Boy never got a bonding episode. The closest thing they had to one was the Beast Within, and in that one Robin was attacking and blaming BB without a second thought. And they never made up! At this point these two deserve a two-parter to work everything out, damn it!
I don’t consider Robin/Red X to be a crack couple at this point. They’ve had too much development together. You can not change my mind.
I wonder how the people who think Red X is Jason Todd would react if they learned that the Teen Titans 2003-2008 version of Robin, despite being hinted to be Dick Grayson, was partially modeled after Jason..
The scene in Stranded where Starfire implies that she thought that her and Robin were already dating really bothers me. And the fact that the two of them never actually talk about the root of their misunderstanding doesn’t make me feel any better.
While I love Robstar, and am happy that they ended up together, I can’t help but wonder what had happened if they’d ended up with different people. It doesn’t help that every Teen Titans adaptation in general has to include it. All I’m saying is that some variety in the couples would be nice, ok?
It really bothers me that there are no fanfics with both Robrae and StarX happening at the same time. Like as long as the question of who Starfire would be with if not Robin, will plague the Robrae fandom forever, why not Red X? The couple feels like people would honestly ship it as it is rather than just a replacement couple. There’s already a bunch of fics about Red X comforting Starfire after a breakup with Robin. Why not some where it’s because of his new relationship with Raven? I don’t know. It just seems like a waste of potential to me, that’s all.
Robin has always been, and likely always will be, my least favorite of the main Titans.
“Winner Take All” is a bad episode. Robin was OOC, the lesson at the end was rushed/undeserved, and it wasted all the cool characters it introduced.
