you don't have to do RICE (rest ice compression elevation); it seems to have proven ineffective every time they checked
'graduated return to activity' is part of the deal now aiui. basically "when it feels okay it's fine" + "if activity makes it hurt somewhat, but it's back to normal pain within 24 hours, that amount of that activity is fine" <- this makes judging how much activity to do very difficult, sorry
ibuprofen/nsaids are fine if they make it feel better but they aren't compulsory/don't seem to have any long term effect on healing; same with ice, compression, elevation
it sucks though and i'm sorry you're dealing with it
try to not overdo it! says idiot who always overdoes it when they get injured.
i think my sister in law had that injury last summer & she's back to running now, so i can ask what the pt prescribed her
huh! Well I'll do the ones that are easy to do I guess and not worry about the rest?
Right now I don't feel at risk of overdoing it, I just wanna lie down forever... walking downstairs just now to fetch the food I ordered felt horrid. I think it feels worse than earlier now :/ I'm not goin to work saturday if it's anything like this
