48.) i dont know if i have a preference between kurt or blaine;; kurts personality is so specific that its fun to tap into that headspace, but blaine is just so cute ….so pookie…..
50.) oooo im not sure !! how would you describe it? i would say its conversational, but i really like being descriptive when im setting scenes… im not the best conveying emotions in my opinion, but i try my best- i tend to convey emotions using imagery rather than walking through a persons thoughts. leave some stuff up to audience interpretation you know?
67.) first thing that comes to mind is a baker/apprentice au. blaine applies to work kurts bakery to get a date(lies about experience), but kurt is Strictly All Business and working him to the bone. takes a while for kurt to warm up to him. (and of course, kurt finds out blaines initial intentions and it blows up spectacularly and blaine has to win him back ;) )

For the ones unaware, this is So Much Better's summary:
Kurt is very excited to make his Broadway debut in Deaf West’s production of Legally Blonde. He plays the Voice of Emmett and he has to work with Blaine, a Deaf actor who’s been part of the show since the very beginning. They grow closer through the process.
I actually started writing a new beginning of the fic, to re-do some world building, but that wasn't very Klaine-y at all, so I am instead taking a scene from the middle.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about press for college shows and exchanges and whatever. I'm winging it.

AMDA is a school for performing arts, so people usually have high expectations of an AMDA show. Still, this amount of interest is new for everyone involved.
This is the first time AMDA has an exchange with Gallaudet, so also the first time they're using sign language in a musical. As a result, a lot of regional press is so interested that AMDA decided to host a small press conference or sorts.
Rachel revels in it, because it "prepares her for the real deal". Kurt's a bit nervous. He also wants to go to the Great White Way, which means doing press, but he's a complete newbie. He's paired with Blaine, since they share the role, and luckily Blaine knows what he's doing. They actually met up the day before to go over possible answers for possible questions.
“So, what is it like to play this character together?” the interviewer asks. The interpreter is stood next to them.
Kurt turns to Blaine to see if he wants to answer first. Blaine notices and raises his hands.
“It’s really fun,” he answers and Kurt can’t help but smile.
SAME, he signs, which in turn makes Blaine smile.
“It is a unique experience and a collaborative project,” Blaine continues, “I couldn't believe it when it was announced I could go on exchange to LA! Gallaudet is in Washington D.C., and it's a Deaf bubble, so to break out of it is a bit scary, but I am so happy to do it and to perform this show with Kurt. It is really cool to learn Kurt’s perspective as well. It’s clashed sometimes, but it’s great to actually be able to have a conversation about Emmett. We both really care for him.”
“Yes,” Kurt cuts in when he realises Blaine’s done, “We’ve jokingly referred to Emmett as our son.” Kurt also signs SON when he says that.
The interviewer laughs at that. Kurt and Blaine do too. Blaine’s laugh is nice to hear. It’s quiet. Then the interviewer asks questions about their degrees.
Kurt's answer is quite generic. The people who will read this are either from AMDA LA, or are interested in AMDA LA. Gallaudet, on the other hand, is unknown, so Kurt gives Blaine the room to promote his school and he steps back to watch. Blaine is so passionate about it.
But then he hears how Blaine had to defend his choice to study acting at Gallaudet. His parents didn't like the idea of it. Blaine is once again great with the press, because he makes it part of a larger issue and he asks for awareness that Deaf people can succeed everywhere.
Now, Kurt's actually a bit sad that this won't reach a lot of readers.
The interviewer thanks them afterwards.
WOW, Blaine signs, since the interpreter followed the interviewer. That was planned.
YOU OKAY? Kurt asks.
I’M FINE, Blaine answers, I NEED A BREAK.
Kurt looks around. There is still some press, but really, it isn't that big of a deal and Rachel is fine with demanding the attention.
LET’S GO, Kurt signs and he nods towards a door that leads out of the rehearsal space. Kurt doesn’t know how to sign “just for a small minute”, so he signs SECRET, SMALL, FAST and luckily Blaine gets it. The two slip out of the room unnoticed.
Once they’re in a hallway, Kurt leans against the wall and he lets out a deep breath.
His phone buzzes in his pocket. He looks over to Blaine, who has a phone in his hand.
BA: So that was a lot, wasn’t it?
KH: If I may ask, why do your parents dislike your acting degree? What you said sounds kinda rough
After all, Kurt can’t imagine his dad not being supportive. Yes, his dad has also had doubts and concerns, but he still fought for Kurt. Kurt still gets a warm feeling when he thinks about his dad going to McKinley, demanding that Kurt should be allowed to try out for Defying Gravity. He didn’t understand it, but he knew Kurt wanted it.
By the time Kurt’s out of his thoughts, he sees that Blaine has sent a long answer.
BA: It was, but it could’ve been worse. My parents at least sign. 80% of hearing parents do not sign. They didn’t have this view in their head that Deafness is something that needs to be fixed. My family learnt ASL for me, they let me to go a Deaf school, and they did a lot for me in that regards. Thanks to them I am the confident person I am today and I had a language and a culture and a community.They did so much to help me excel, and then I choose acting? But in the end, what they did is called good parenting, and with good parenting, I shouldn’t feel like I owe it to them to give up on my dreams just because they don’t agree with me.
How are your parents?
I never really asked.
KH: We never really talked about it.
BA: True
KH: My mom died when I was young, but she always encouraged the creative side. My dad and stepmom as well.
I told you Finn’s my brother, right?
My stepmom is his mom.
Our parents couldn’t be more proud of us.
BA: Sorry to hear about your mom
But glad to hear your stepmom is lovely
KH: Well I am glad to hear it’s all okay with your family now.
BA: Yeah better late than never
The two of them share a small smile. Their moment gets interrupted when the door opens and Lauren, the Deaf actress who plays Enid, pokes her head around the corner. She looks relieved when she finds them.
THERE YOU ARE, she signs.
SORRY, Kurt and Blaine both sign immediately.
WE NEEDED A BREAK, Blaine signs.
Lauren looks at Blaine, then to Kurt, then back to Blaine. A smile forms on her face and she has an amused look on her face. Kurt tries to see if Blaine gets why Lauren is looking at them like that, but Blaine looks slightly confused as well.
Lauren signs something but it’s too advanced for Kurt to keep up, but Blaine notices and quickly texts it to him.
BA: They were looking for us, so we should probably head inside.
So my partner keeps chickens and I have a cat so when we moved in together had to work out the whole 'unlikely roommate situation' with the natural fear being that the cat would harass the chickens (she's primarily a house cat but does go out in the yard sometimes)
Anyway we needn't have worried. One of the chickens worked out that if she hides in the shrubs around the door and waits for cat to venture out, she can leap out in dramatic squawking fashion and scare the absolute shit out of the cat.
Cat now has a very healthy fear and respect for all the chickens and will in fact try to get me to come outside with her if she wants to go to keep her safe from the 'scary chickens'.

I have been thinking about these mafia chickens nonstop for like ten days but haven’t been able to answer bc ✨life✨ and it’s seasons and whatnot but I have read this like three times omg it’s so silly and funny and cute and I have so many questions??? (Omg side note I just remembered this bc if this ask: we had a chicken when I was a child but she wouldn’t lay eggs so my grandma bought a rooster so she would start laying. Good news: it worked! Bad news: he was the MEANEST motherfucker on the planet. He attacked me unprovoked when I was like 7 (I KNOW it was premeditated bc he waited until I was out there alone) and I have a scar on my knee from where he fucked me up with his Bitchass beak. Flash forward to a few weeks ago, my friends and I surprise my best friend to a therapy farm where we have a great time cuddling with goats and cows and pigs and as we’re leaving there’s a chicken coop! The people say we can go in, they’re friendly, and I jokingly tell my friends “we should go in so I can face my fears bc a rooster attacked me when I was a kid” and I’m actually being so chill and brave about it and feeding some chickens when a fucking peacock comes up and starts stalking me??? Anyway he fucking shanked me with his talons and I started bleeding and I was like ??? I don’t have a fear of birds but should I???)

Re: the meow. I am not sure what to do yet. All seem alright, except for the option to play it simultaneously with the line, which seems obvious. I'll see what I'll end up picking.
Re: breathing. The combination of these replies and the feedback on the Discord made me conclude that I will only edit them out if I think they're really, really bothersome, but y'all are right that I am indeed just hyperfocused on it. Thanks to someone on the Discord I also noticed they also tend to appear when I try to change my voice for a character. Basically, I need to let go of the idea that they're incredibly bothersome and be selective.

Lynne’s review: Absolutely loved it! So much fun, humorous and loving. I love that they used known canon characters, but in a new way. This reminded me of the show Pushing Daisies. Google it.
I think one of my favorite scenes is where Blaine is talking Kurt down from his panic attack at Finn’s grave
I loved writing this part because one of my favorite things about the English language is how words can mean different things. So here Blaine tells Kurt to focus on one thing he can feel and obviously he meant something he could physically feel and it was really fun and a little challenging to make that transition from the physical and tangible to the emotional and abstract. I won’t lie though I use parallelism a fucking LOT so it feels like a bit much (it probably is) but as I always tell my students: I’d rather have too much than not enough.
TBH TOO, I just really love writing spiraling/overthinking thoughts and I don’t know why but I have a blast doing it! So while it was a little bit of a struggle to bridge that gap, it was also enrichment in my flesh prison so it’s a win-win

SO. Love and Fanfiction is the "IRL Besties; Online Worsties" AU that's been rattling around in my head for a while. It'll definitely be a few months before it's closed to being finihsed, but the gist of it is Kurt and Blaine are bffs in real life, but online they have Beef. Kurt is a popular fic writer and Blaine is a gifmaker for the same show (but different ships). It's utterly ridiculous and completely self indulgent but it do be livin in the old noggin rent free <3
