If you like historical AUs, mystery, adventure, necromantic sun goddesses, cults and a found family dynamic, then THE CRYSTAL NECROPOLIS might just be for you!
I'm posting chapters once they are edited, so you may get two in a day or one every few days depending on fatigue and whatever schedule I might have.
As anyone who knows me will know, I thrive on live feedback so if anyone reads this story, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment.
Hello! I have recently become aware of people looking for my fic The President’s Son on AO3. I turned it into a novel and so had to take it down from AO3. Unfortunately, I got a black mark for telling people that I was taking it down because I was selling it, so thats why it ‘just disappeared’. I don’t mind people sharing pdf files of the original fic, but if folk could spare a couple of dollars & buy it, it would be most appreciated. Thank you xx
Thank you for letting us know! Publishing this to share with everyone.
Catherine and Henry | rocksaltandroll | (15/15) - 28k | July-November 2012
Kate is Tom’s Wardrobe Assistant on The Hollow Crown.Everything was going just fine until the Battle of Agincourt, and then Kate's life takes a huge turn. Whether that turn is for better or worse remains to be seen.
Note: When the first parts of C&H were posted on THF (roughly two months after the page had been established), it garnered such excitement that rocksaltandroll decided to build it into a full multi-chapter story. It finished as one of the most well written novellas to be found in the early TH fandom. Its shorter length belies skilful tension-building without slowing pace even from the first words. I believe it remains their only TH work, though they have published to multiple fandoms since then. This was among the first works I followed as it updated, and I'm grateful they've kept it accesible on AO3 all this time.

When Tom Hiddleston stepped into his trailer it was as though Henry V himself had walked in fresh from the battle of Agincort, dressed in metal plate and ring mail, dull-gold crown atop of sweat-soaked hair, mud and fake blood spattered all over his face and armour. He looked exhausted and cold but I swear he’d never looked more attractive than he did now. I damn wished that I was Catherine of Valois, about to be wooed by the King of England but alas. I was just first wardrobe assistant on the Hollow Crown set.
I moved forward to take the battered and dirt-stained shield from him and he looked up from the floor and blinked at me slowly, as though he were trying to figure out who I was and what I was doing in his trailer. It took a second for recognition to register and I was awarded with a small smile and a murmured ‘thank you’. I smiled back as I set the shield aside and waited patiently as Tom removed the leather gloves from his hands. His icy fingers briefly brushed mine as he handed them to me and I felt a pang of sympathy as I watched him slowly flex each digit in turn. He had been outside since the crack of dawn in the cold winter sunshine, filming a gruelling battle scene. Leather gloves were all well and good for protecting your hands from biting reins and glancing blows, but they did nothing to keep in the warmth. I set them aside also and waited in silence for Tom to unbuckle his belt and hand me the sword and scabbard.
He let out a long, shaky sigh as I moved around to his right side and he automatically lifted his arm so I could get to the leather straps holding the armour together. I bit my lip as I loosened the buckle. This was unusual for Tom, the quiet. Usually he was full of chat and niceties, but today he was just standing there sombrely, staring at a fixed point on the wall ahead of him. I cleared my throat as the buckles came undone.
i’d be surprised if nobody’s recommended this yet, but On Espionage and Prophecy (or How to Accidentally, but Wholly, Fall in Love With a Soho Bookseller) by RockSaltAndRoll is honestly some of the best writing I’ve read on ao3 so far :)
I’m not sure if anyone has, but if they have, we’ll definitely post it again!
On Espionage and Prophecy (or How to Accidentally, but Wholly, Fall in Love With a Soho Bookseller) by RockSaltAndRoll
1941 is the London Blitz and the year that MI5 really comes into its own with the now infamous ‘double cross’ system. The service keep tabs on suspects, root out enemy agents and try to turn them into doubles.
Anthony J Crowley is fucking great at this job. He can be sneaky, underhanded and damn ruthless but also charming and kind. It’s what makes him good at turning.
Aziraphale is just a regular Soho bookseller who loves his shop and books and good food and wine when he’s approached by a woman claiming to be MI5, wanting to recruit him for espionage. The poor man is too trusting and gets the shock of his life when he’s approached by a charming but dangerous-looking man also claiming to be MI5.
Crowley recruits Aziraphale to double cross a double crosser and Aziraphale takes to espionage like a duck to water.

Steve is very rich and desperate to feel in control of his life again after a recent divorce has left him feeling bitter and lonely. When he keeps crossing paths with a disaster twenty-something, an unconventional solution presents itself. Steve's always been one for following his instincts.
Bucky is very broke and can't seem to catch a break, especially after some asshole fires him for one fucking mistake. So of course, it follows that he should sign a contract agreeing to do everything and anything that same asshole wants for a whole year in exchange for a payout that could finally change his life for the better.

AKA a fantasy BDSM romance featuring heavy mutual pining, feelings denial, and enough kink to blackout a bingo card. We know what we're about, son.

we are the things that we do for fun by Nonymos
Going to a professional Dom may be one of the weirdest things Bucky’s ever done. Especially since this skinny Steve Rogers guy doesn’t really look the part.
But hey, they might just find a way to make this work.
Off The Record by Brenda
"This is a serious coup, James. Steve Rogers has never sat down with a member of the press and given an interview. Ever. Do you know how rare that is for the fourth-string star on a cable reality show, much less the biggest movie star in the world?"
Celebrity/Journalist AU based on this amazing prompt.
Well…kind of. You remember that Witcher AU I was writing before Covid? Well, I took the urban fantasy idea and turned into an Original.
Metropolitan Unnatural is complete!
and I’ve written…like…two and a half books of this story at this point 🤣
Blurb is below:
Detective Inspector Tristan Locryn has spent centuries hunting monsters.
He’s never become one.
When a string of brutal killings strikes London, the Metropolitan Police’s Unnatural Incidents Response Unit is called in to investigate. The evidence points to something savage, ancient — and dangerously unpredictable.
DC Alexander Pankhurst was never meant to be part of that world. Brilliant, perceptive, and stubbornly human, Alex has a habit of seeing connections no one else does. Working alongside Tristan, he finds himself pulled deeper into a hidden London where magic, monsters, and old bargains still shape the city’s shadows.
But when a long-buried curse is unleashed, the hunt turns personal.
As the body count rises and the truth behind the curse begins to surface, Tristan is forced to confront something far more dangerous than any creature he’s faced before.
Because this time, the monster might be someone he loves.
