In between nap times, they let themselves continue to fall deeper in love with each other.
That night, before bed, Amelia couldn't stop herself from running her hand across her husband's face; he had let his facial hair grow unkempt while taking care of their family's new addition.
"Darling, you've grown scruff."
She chuckled to herself, then her eyes filled with warmth.
"I may like it."

The whole family was shell-shocked after Rob's death, especially Diane. Losing the love of her life and her youngest son so suddenly had taken its toll. There was a part of her that faded into the back of her head.
