Oh! Susanna is originally a ministrel song written by Stephen Foster in 1848. The song was actually ment to be a funny reading of the song, but it didn’t really come of so frontman Roger McGuinn admitted he was disapointed.
The Byrds is a rockband from the sixties who managed to create a characteristic sound, a combination of influences by the British Invasion bands and traditional folk music, They are known for the rattling sound of the twelve string Rickenbacker guitar.
