PLEASE, he is so cocky and having too much fun after laying in wait and hiding with the other survivors, he KNOWS he's the shit - saying things like "you shouldn'da done that" before burning a charge into a man and WALKING AWAY FROM THE EXPLOSION OF GORE

his stupid fucking giggle, he is having a blast [quite literally] and doesn't have to worry about a THING, he can let loose with his powers and it shows that he is milking it for all its worth

the institute was remarkably quiet at this time, likely because the students had taken the opportunity to venture into the city or were training in the gym separate from the mansion itself. whichever it was, jean wasn't entirely disappointed by a little time to think, prepare whatever lessons she still needed to fine-tune, and perhaps actually have a little time to herself to read, paint, or simply do something normal.

however, their lives were anything but. jean had no regrets. xavier's had given her purpose, a family, and a life she wouldn't give up for anything. still, like anyone there, part of her wished for a sense of normalcy, even those who claimed to be most proud of their gifts.

that was when it happened, a small whisper at the back of her mind. jean hadn't meant to listen, but she did. it caught her attention like an illuminated vacancy sign, her focus locking onto it before her conscious mind could stop itself. it was rogue.

auburn brows furrowed slightly as she made her way toward one of the sitting rooms on the first floor, finding rogue there alone. "hey," she greeted casually, her voice gentle and steady as it always was, as she settled into one of the chairs beside the large bay window. "it's quiet, huh. everything okay?"

Logan had settled into this timeline pretty well, hardly anyone knew that he wasn't the Wolverine that was previously was here. He was hesitant to get too involved with the school and students but Logan joined his fellow x-men on missions and helped where he could. The current one he was on was supposed to be a rescue mission, infiltrate a lab and rescue the mutants that were being experimented on.

It brought back so many bad memories, especially after entering. Stealth went pretty well until they broke out the mutants, three children, alarms went off and security was heavy. Logan snapped at Scott for him and Storm to take the kids while he and Rogue brawled with the security guards. But these guards were mutants as well and one took hold of Logan's mind and turned his rage against his allies. His target being Cyclops but when Rogue tried to stop him he turned his claws on her.

A bone shattering right hook to the skull from her was enough to knock sense back into him, but breaking free from the mind control he looks down to see his claws buried in his fellow mutant's gut. Eye's wide with horror and well up with tears at the realization of what he had just done.

"No.... No, no, no!" Logan instantly retracts his claws and he collapse with Rogue bleeding out in his arms. Cursing under his breath he frantically takes off one of her gloves and he presses her bare hand to his face. "You're going to be okay kid. Take it, take it all."

BLADE RUNNER PROMPTS || ᴀᴄᴄᴇᴘᴛɪɴɢ!

Cops don't like me. Not back home, and especially here. You'd think after everything Peter Parker's done as Spider-Man, it would buy me some leniency. Yet every time, it's always a loud call to put my hands up. This time, it felt even louder. Angrier than it usually sounds, with Rogue there. You'd also think that they would've known asking Spider-Man to stay still with his hands up defeats the purpose.

Luckily, it doesn't take long for us to get away. She's already fast, and the both of us can fly, with Rogue traveling at significantly higher speeds. I'm left questioning everything when the chase dies down, and we're on our own again, away from the old public eye.

the food.. well, she's certainly a fan of the food and drink going on. the people are interesting, and seem to for once, pay her little mind in their libations. no one stares at her funny, or makes a wide berth. she can't believe that for a single night she feels like she's not too different than anyone else.

perhaps because they are all dressed like monsters, as she hears the whizz of rockets through the air, and only seconds left before the boom.

that's why she feels at home, and just as ahmya moves to escape the loudness, she's offered what she thought she did not bring

Scott walked at love the smiled ❝thank you for keeping me company❞ he admitted he hadn't really spoken to anybody since Jean died. He couldn't bring herself too. He loved Jane and he could never ever save her. She was lost forever and I left the whole bigger than anything in this world in his heart. ❝and thank you for not looking at me with pity. I know everyone means well but I'm sick of the pity looks❞ it was true everyone looked at him so sorrowful except maybe Logan and he had his own grief over Jane. Everyone missed her but both he and logan, as much as he hated to admit it had been in love with Jane. Losing her was hard on both of them. In a way that should have bonded them, but it didn't. He appreciated that roast looked at him and treated him like she always had it was refreshing

Gambit found rogue alone, she was always alone. He knew part of it was because of her powers, but sometimes he wondered if she was just scared to let anyone in. Which ever it was, Remy was determined to show her she could let him in. Even if she could never, he would love her enough for the both of them ❝there you are mon ami❞ he smiled ❝come I feel like going out for dinner❞
