One of my favorite lessons I learned taking Latin in high school was that the word "testimony" in English is derived from the Latin word testis, which means "a witness (noun)."
testis also derived to the English word "testicle." One idea for why is because a witness in court, instead of swearing on the bible, might have sworn on their masculine coin purse....
Some scholars believe that narrative lacks evidence, but it is entertaining nonetheless.

So I was curious and checked the Latin tag bc I took Latin for three years and just wanted to see if there were any cool quotes or something. But the whole tag is filled with naked girls and Latino dancing with very few actual LATIN in between. What?!
