I’m happy you like the title!! it’s actually from this excerpt. I’m the worst at making up titles on my own so I often pluck a line from a pretty poem or excerpt that fits the vibe lol & this one fit so perfectly for what I want with this fic.
love’s only demand is that we fall is my baby ❤️ I haven’t felt this much love for a fic in years so I’m really excited about it. It started out as a series of cute little itafushi headcanons that I was trying to string together and then it evolved into Yuuji’s journey to falling in love with Megumi & coming to terms with those feelings + allowing himself the opportunity to be loved in turn. It’s 98% fluff and fully self-indulgent. ☺️ I’m almost done with the first draft but I’ll probably need a beta reader to help me polish it into the final product.
I’ve posted a couple of snippets but here’s another small one for you:
“It’s something of a habit they’ve developed over time. Yuuji didn’t even notice it until Nobara pointed it out with a disgusted scrunch of her nose, gagging about how domestic they are during lunch one day. That’s when he realizes that he’s leaning in towards Fushiguro to accept the bite of yakitori he’s currently offering. He holds the skewer towards Yuuji expectantly, eyes focused on his phone as if it’s so natural he doesn’t even think about the action.”
