I believe it’s a reference to Cartographer’s Craft :) The puppies are used to battle dementors, and the mango trees are from the garden of the house Harry moves into during seventh year.

She adores a chin-scratch. Polk will begrudgingly allow them sometimes, but Deebs loves belly rubs and chin scratches.

For some reason Dearborn looks like she’d talk with a French accent. I keep picturing her in a beret.

I keep trying to picture her in a beret but all I can picture is her epic freakout at having something on her head, and then Polk destroying the beret :D

Dehydrators are so handy I take and buy up clearance mushrooms from Kroger’s and slice em up and dehydrate em(your whole house will smell like biscuits) then just keep em dry in a bag and throw em into soups and stuff

Oh shit, is THAT why my condo smelled like baking for like three days? I couldn’t figure it out, I thought maybe the neighbor was making biscuits. That makes so much more sense if it’s from when I dried the mushrooms.

Deebs doesn’t like to climb much, so she’s never been up on the bookshelf, but I’m sure sooner or later I’ll take a picture of her I can make into a poster of some kind :D

I wondered why you changed it from Polk Starbuck to Polk the Cat, and then I realised this is in your actual real home, people who don't know you're a BNF are going to see it.

Well, also it’s objectively funnier. Polk Starbuck is just her name, whereas Polk The Cat is funny because it informs you that she is a cat, as if there was any doubt :D
