I guess you could say this is a prequel to A Warm, Inviting Family. Since I’m still jobless, I decided to write while looking for a job.

“They’re here, they’re here!” Misturi was bouncing with excitement.
Rengoku and Y/N entered the master’s house. IN Y/N’s arm was their newborn baby, fast asleep. Mistrui squealed and ran over with Tengen’s wives behind them.
“Oh my gosh, is that her?” Misturi asked. “Y/N, she’s perfect! Look at how small she is!”
“She already has some hair, look!” Makio pointed. “It’s the color of Rengoku’s.”
“She’s adorable! I bet she’ll be pretty, just like Y/N!” Suma said.
“We shouldn’t be smothering her like this,” Hinatsuru said. “But this is exciting. You’re the first of us to have a baby Y/N.”
“It was an exciting pregnancy. Ruka took a while to get out,” Y/N chuckled. “Misturi, Rengoku asked me to allow you to hold the baby first.”
“Really? I can hold her?” Misturi asked.
“Of course! Out of everyone, you were the most excited,” Y/N said. “Plus, you were so helpful. So please, sit down.”
Misturi squealed again before she sat down. She was vibrating with joy. You chuckled as you handed your baby over to the Love Hashria. Misturi looked down at Ruka with so much love; it was a precious scene. Ruka had woken up and was staring at Misturi.
“Hello, Baby Ruka! I’m your Auntie Misturi! Guess what? I already love you! I love you so much!”
Y/N sat down next to Mistrui. She was tired, but she could feel her energy returning. She had been in the Butterfly Mansion for days and could now be around her friends again. She loved her husband, and Shinobu had been great, but she had been dying to show the baby to everyone. Misturi had been waiting for days to see Ruka; Rengoku said he felt terrible that she couldn’t be in the room for the birth. You felt bad, too but Shinobu had insisted it be only her and your husband.
Misturi didn’t seem to hold a grudge. She was cooing at Ruka, already in love. A string of white slithered over to the two of you. Kaburamaru, Obanai’s snake, went up Misturi’s arm and placed himself on Ruka’s stomach. Obanai ran over his face red.
“Come back here,” He said to the snake.
The snake shook its head. You didn’t even know snakes could do that. The snake was looking at Ruka, who was staring at him. You swore the snake smiled.
“Kaburamaru, come here,” Obanai demanded.
“Oh, even Kaburamaru loves the baby!” Misturi cooed.
“I’m sorry,” Obanai said. “Kaburamaru, come here right now!”
“Hang on,” Y/N said. “Obanai, sit down.”
Obanai looked at Misturi, his face turning red. He obeyed, though.
“Misturi, let Obanai hold Ruka.”
“Wait, I---”
Misturi handed the baby over, and Obanai froze. He was staring at her with confusion and fear. He held her away from him, fear in his eyes. Was this his first time holding a baby?
“What--what do I do?” He asked.
“Here, hold her like this,” Misturi said.
She moved his arm, so Ruka’s head was in the crook of his arm. Obanai’s face was redder than a cherry. Once Ruka was in his arms, Obanai looked at her. His face returned to normal as he stared at her.
“Okay, I’ll admit it. She’s pretty cute,” Obanai said. “You can’t stay with her, though, Kaburamaru.”
Rengoku was watching from afar. He wore the biggest smile on his face. His love for Y/N continued to grow; watching her as a mother was inspiring. Already, she was filled with so much love for their baby. He was happy to see that Ruka was calm as she was given to others. He knew Mistrui would have died had she not gotten to hold Ruka first. He felt honored that his friends already loved his daughter.
“I thought the baby was in Y/N’s stomach,”
Rengoku was used to Muichiro popping up randomly. Rengoku laughed at his comment.
“Not anymore! She’s here, fully realized!”
“Why is the baby so small?”
“They’re little humans; they’re supposed to be small,” Rengoku said. “But she’ll grow! Grow into a wonderful human being.”
“Ah, there is the man of the hour!”
Tengen patted Rengoku on the back and brought him in for a hug.
“Congratulations are in order!” He said. “You’re officially a father now.”
“I, too, would like to offer my congratulations,” Gyoemi said. “Having a baby is no small feat. I cannot think of two finer people for parents.”
Rengoku felt his heart swell. Marrying Y/N hadn’t been scary but starting a family was terrifying. It wasn’t that he didn’t have faith in Y/N being a mother; he didn’t have faith in himself. Would he mess up? Babies were so small and fragile. Rengoku had numerous nightmares where he dropped his poor baby. What would happen if he dropped her? The scarier thought was, what if he ended up like his father? As much as he loved the former Flame Hashira, Rengoku didn’t want to turn into him.
“Hey, what’s with that look?” Tengen nudged Rengoku. “No sour faces here. That’s unflashy.”
“Sorry, just distracted I guess,” Rengoku admitted. “I was thinking---”
“Unflashy thoughts,” Tengen poked his friend’s sides. “I don’t want any negativity tonight. Let me guess; you’re scared you won’t be a good father?”
“Preposterous! Rengoku, you are by far one of the best men I have ever met,” Gyoemi said. “Your fathering skills will be unparalleled.”
“You were nervous when you got married, too,” Tengen said. “You came to me one night, asking if there was a book on how to be a good husband.”
“Oh, I had forgotten about that,” Rengoku chuckled.
“You worry too much,” Tengen said. “You’ve got this.”
“There you are Kyo,” Y/N said, Ruka in her arms. “I’ve been looking for you. Oh, Tengen, this is perfect! Kyo, we can finally ask him.”
“Ask me what?” Tengen said.
“Well,” Rengoku took Ruka from Y/N. “Tengen, you’re my closet friend. You’ve been there for me and continue to do so. So I was hoping that you’d do the honors of being my daughter’s godfather.”
“And your wives,” Y/N said. “We want them to be her godmothers.”
Tengen was quiet as he looked between the couple and then down at Ruka. He took her Ruka and held her up, laughing loudly.
“Of course, I’ll be her godfather! No one is flashier than me; I’m perfect for the job!” Tengen said. “Girls, girls, we’re going to be godparents!”
Rengoku chuckled and put his arm around his wife. His fears had vanished; he had nothing to worry about. He watched as Tengen’s wives crowded around him, giving Ruka more than enough attention.
“I told you they’d all love her,” Y/N said. “You were worried about nothing.”
“I guess I was,” Rengoku wrapped an arm around his wife. “My fears were misplaced.”
“They always are,” Y/N said, leaning against her husband. “Sweetie, you’re a wonderful husband and will be a great father. I just know it.”
“Thank you, my love,” Rengoku kissed her cheek.
“So, where do babies come from?” Muichiro asked suddenly.
“Oh, Muichiro!” Y/N hadn’t realized the young boy was still standing by her husband.
“I think I hear the Master calling us; we must go!” Rengoku said, grabbing Y/N’s hand and walking off.
So I rewatched Steven Universe and caught up on the last season along with the movie and Steven Universe Future. You guys know me, I love giving canon character babies so it's time for the daughter of Connie and Steven! (When they're all grown up)
~*~
“Ladies, gentlemen, and gems of all ages!” Greg said. “After years of being away from Beach City, finishing college, and getting married, our favorite couple is back with a new addition. May I present to you Primrose Quartz Maheswaran-Universe!”
Greg opened the door to Steven’s old house, and polite clapping was heard as Steven entered with Connie. Their three-month-old baby, Primrose, was wide awake and taking everything in. When she saw Greg, she reached for him, and Greg took her, making everyone in the room go, ‘Aw.’
“Oh, let me see her; I must see her!” Pearl said. “Oh, look at her! She’s so perfect and chubby. Look at her little cheeks!”
“Primrose, this is Aunty Pearl,” Greg said. “She’s going to teach you how to be proper and, possibly, teach your sword stuff when you’re older.”
Primrose reached for Pearl. Pearl gasped and took her. Steven watched, unable to hide his smile. Primrose had proven to be friendly. Of course, she loved Greg. There were times when Steven had to fight to get his daughter back. She’d be curled up on Greg’s chest, her little fingers clinging to his clothing. She’d sometimes cry when Steven would take her back. Connie squeezed his hand, and he looked at her.
“I told you she’d love them,” Connie said.
“Okay, you were right,” Steven said. “It’s just a lot of people to meet. In the book I read, babies can get overwhelmed easily.”
“Hello, Primrose,” Pearl said. “As Greg said, I’ll be the one to teach you many things. Of course, you’ll be going to school. We’re going to make sure of that.”
“My turn, my turn, my turn!” Amethyst poked Pearl in the side. “I wanna see her!”
“Amethyst, stop that!” Pearl said. “I’ll give her to you, but you better hold her properly. Support her head at all times.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, give her here!” Amethyst demand.
Pearl reluctantly handed Primrose over. Primrose stared at Amethyst; she stuck out her tongue, and Primrose giggled.
“Hey, kiddo, I’m Amethyst! I’m going to be the fun aunt! Just wait until you get older! I’ll show you how to cliff dive!”
“You will not!” Pearl said. “That is out of the question!”
“Wow, this sounds familiar,” Steven chuckled.
It was like he had been taken back in time. He remembered how much Pearl had worried about him and her squabbles with Amethyst. God, he had caused so much trouble when he was younger. It was surreal thinking about his younger years. Here he was, married with a baby. Time really flew by. As Pearl argued about safety, Garnet reached down and plucked Primrose from Amethyst’s hands. Primrose cooed, grabbing hold of Garnet’s finger.
“Tiny hands,” She grinned. “My one weakness.”
“I still don’t believe that thing came from Steven,” Peridot finally spoke. “It doesn’t look a thing like Steven. And why isn’t it called Smaller Steven or Lesser Steven? It would make more logical sense!”
“I see Peridot is still having trouble understanding what a baby is,” Connie chuckled.
“She’s not Steven. She’s her person,” Garnet said. “Humans create other humans, but they’re not copies of them. Primrose will grow up to be her unique person.”
Peridot was about to argue when Garnet grabbed her by the hand and took her to the couch. Peridot was confused when Primrose was handed to her. The gem looked terrified as she held Primrose away from her. Garnet gently pushed Primrose back and then fixed Peridot’s arms so she had the baby correctly.
“Ah, what do I do? What do I do? Steven, guide me!” Peridot begged.
“Just hold her,” Steven said. “Talk to her.”
“Um--Peridot glanced down at the baby. “I’m Peridot. I’m a part of the Crystal Gems. I mostly reside at Little Homeworld. I met your father when I tried to destroy the planet.”
Primrose cooed, and then she gave Peridot a huge smile. Peridot stared at her before hugging her.
“This is my human now,” She declared. “You can’t have her back.”
“Hey, you can’t steal my grandbaby!” Greg said.
Steven burst out laughing. He had missed this chaos. Being on his own had been fantastic. Traveling the United States, meeting new people, and seeing the world had been cathartic. He had done that for a few years before Connie had started hinting she was ready to settle down. Steven had been waiting to hear those words from her, and after they got hitched, a baby was the next step.
Part of him had been terrified. Steven had no idea if his baby would be part Gem like he was. Rose Quartz had made an enormous sacrifice by having him, and Steven was scared it would be the same. Thankfully, the pregnancy went by without any issues. The only weird thing was Connie’s pickles, ice cream and sauerkraut dinners. Steven had been with Connie for every step of the process, from the classes to the doctor’s appointments. There had been no weird gem issues, except Primrose had been born with curly, pink hair. Other than that, everything went fine.
The warp pad glowed; Lapis and Bismuth had arrived. Bismuth was carrying something huge that was wrapped in mismatched wrapping paper.
“Sorry we’re late,” Lapis said. “We had to bring the gift.”
“Where is she? I want to see this baby,” Bismuth said, setting the significant gift down.
“Garnet had to steal her back from Peridot,” Connie said.
Sure enough, Garnet had plucked Primrose from Peridot’s tiny hands. She walked over to Lapis and Bismuth.
“Whoa, she’s tiny!” Lapis said.
“But look at that hair! She has the Quartz curls,” Bismuth chuckled.
Primrose reached up and grabbed Bismuth’s nose. Bismuth chuckled again, making the baby smile.
“That’s one heck of a grip you got there,” Bismuth said.
“You’re too close!” Peridot said. “Move back; you might have germs! I’ll go find the disinfectant!”
Steve watched as Peridot went to find some spray. He was surprised that she was the one who was more neurotic than Pearl. He glanced back to Bismuth, who was now holding Primrose. She brought the baby to the present.
“Ready?” Bismuth asked.
Bismuth grabbed the paper and tore it off. Underneath was a gorgeous silver crib with a mobile. Primrose’s name was engraved on it with a gemstone for the ‘o’. Both Steven and Connie gasped.
“Bismuth, that’s beautiful!” Connie said. “You made this for Primrose?”
“Yep!” Bismuth said with pride. “And watch this!”
Bismuth pressed the gemstone. The crib shook before transforming into a toddler bed with a pillow and blanket. Primrose gurgled, wiggling about in Bismuth’s grasp. Connie walked over to the bed and pressed the gem. Sure enough, it went back to its crib form.
“Bismuth, I’m speechless,” Connie said. “This has to be the most thoughtful and beautiful gift.”
“I did some research on human babies. I thought this gift would be the most helpful,” Bismuth. “What do you think, squirt?”
Bismuth placed Primrose in the crib. Primrose sat down and took in her surroundings. She then lay down in the crib, snuggling into the mattress. Peridot burst into tears.
“She’s so cute!” She bawled. “I love her so much!”
Steven couldn’t stop grinning. He was so happy Primrose had the Crystal Gems in her life. She may not have to save the universe or fight monsters, but she will always be loved.
“Whatcha thinking about schtu-ball?” Greg nudged Steven.
“I’m just happy,” Greg said. “I knew they’d love her, but seeing them love her just---feels right, ya know?”
“How could we not love her? She has the Universe charm,” Greg wrapped an arm around Steven. “Our family is known for making cute babies.”
Steven laughed.
“Peridot, get out of the crib,” Bismuth said.
“NEVER!” Peridot had climbed into the crib with Primrose.
“Oh boy,” Steven chuckled. “This might be a problem.”
It’s 2am, I’m not great at editing but here is some Loki fluff because I’m still angry about the season finale and I just want Loki to be happy goddamnit.
“You’re so cute!” You cooed, holding up the alligator.
The alligator seemed to smile, obviously enjoying the attention you were giving him. How could you not adore him? A little alligator with a little Loki crown? It was absolutely adorable.
Well, you found it adorable. Loki found it annoying.
Loki had always been a bit protective of you. Being in the TVA hadn’t changed that, and being in the Void only made it worse. The three Lokis and the alligator had taken you to their hideaway and the other three kept looking at you. The young Loki was smitten obviously, while the other two seemed wistful.
“Whose a little baby?” You asked, holding up the alligator. “Whose a little baby?”
“Alright, that’s enough,” Loki said, stalking over to you. “Put that damn thing down.”
“Last time I checked, you’re not the boss of me,” You said playfully.
“I think he’s merely jealous, m’lady,” Boastful Loki said. “He seems to not enjoy sharing you.”
“Well, he’s going to have to get used to it. I’m adopting Alligator Loki now,” You said, holding the reptile.
“You are not keeping that thing!” Loki hissed.
“If the lady would like to keep a Loki as a pet, I wouldn’t mind volunteering,” The eldest Loki said with a grin.
“You’re bad,” You said with a giggle.
“Alright, alright, that is enough from all of you!” Loki grabbed the alligator out of your arms. “We’re leaving.”
“Loki, I---”
He grabbed your hand and started to pull you away. You looked back at the four other variants, offering an apologetic smile. However, Loki stopped when the entrance to the hideout started to open. He backed away, getting in a protective stance. The other Lokis quickly join him, making sure you’re as far away from the opening as possible. Even the alligator hissed as the hole opened up, and yet another Loki dropped in. He was wearing a tattered suit with a presidential pin that read ‘Loki’ and the signature horns.
“Well, well, well,” He said, grinning at the scene. “What do we have here?”
His eyes went to you, and he whistled.
“So it’s true. There’s someone in the Void who isn’t a Loki,” He said, his eyes going up and down your body. “Pretty, little thing too.”
“Keep your eyes to yourself,” Boastful Loki gripped his hammer.
“Oh, did I strike a nerve?” President Loki asked mockingly.
“Do not speak of the lady in such a manner,” Old Loki added. “She’s of no concern to you either way.”
“I don’t believe that,” President Loki’s eyes were glued to you. “I mean, it gets pretty lonely here in the Void, don’t you think? I could use a bit of company.”
“Sorry, already taken,” You said, taking your Loki’s hand.
“Taken? Oh, dearest,” President Loki chuckled. “You’re acting as if you have any say in the matter.”
You never knew how fast alligators were until you saw Alligator Loki speed towards the president, jump up and clamp down on his arm. He screamed in pain, trying desperately to get the creature off him. Boastful Loki took this as an opportunity to charge forward, hammer out.
“You two need to go,” Kid Loki said. “There’s another way out. Follow me.”
“But what about them?” You said.
“They’ll be fine, my lady, but you two need to get out of here,” The eldest Loki said. “Please, stay safe.”
Loki took your hand, and the two of you followed the child out of the underground bunker. Once you got out, the two of you kept running until you were sure you were safe. Exhausted, you collapsed on the ground against an abandoned car.
“Are you alright, darling?” Loki asked his hand on your face.
“Yes,” You said, squeezing his hand. “What about you?”
“Who cares about me?” Loki said, pressing his forehead against yours. “I’m more worried about you.”
“Really? I thought you were angry at me,” You said.
“No,” Loki chewed his lip. “Alright, I was a bit jealous of the lizard.”
“Alligator,” You corrected.
“You were fawning over it,” Loki ignored your comment. “Cooing at it as if it was a babe and acting as if you had never seen anything so adorable.”
“Loki,” You squeezed his hand again, and he looked at you. “Were you afraid I’d like the alligator more than you?”
“No.”
“Loki.”
“Maybe.”
“Loki, come on.”
“Yes,” Loki sighed. “Love, you have to understand something. You’re so wonderfully amazing and bright. You’re a light in the darkness; people are drawn to you. I’m selfish, and I want your light to be only for me. When others try to get close, I panic.”
“Oh, Loki,” You pulled him close to you. “You know I love you, right?”
“Yes,”
“So trust in me and my love,” You said. “Just because I was fawning over the alligator doesn’t mean I love you any less.”
“You called it a baby,” Loki pouted slightly.
“What, does the almighty Loki want to be called a baby?” You teased. “You’re my baby, if that means anything.”
I swear I’m working on commissions but I watched the new What If? episode and I was talking to @ladyfluff about how Loki would dote on a tiny wife and how Thor would be jealous so I had to write this.
“What do you think, Alfhild?” You asked your handmaiden.
You twirled, making the skirt of your yellow gown billow out. It was a flowy, semi-sheer dress with silver accents at the wrists and neck, and it even had a glittering cape attached to the back. Of course, it was the perfect regal outfit for a royal lady.
“You look gorgeous as always, your majesty,” She said.
“Thank you, dear, but I need to know if this is good enough for Thor’s party,” You said. “Maybe I should wear my pink dress instead.”
“I think you look quite fetching,” A voice said. “But I’d rather see that dress on the bedroom floor.”
You giggled and turned to look at your window. Sure enough, you saw your husband standing outside, a cocky grin on his face. You ran over to the window and stepped on the ledge, jumping into his opened palm. The king of the frost giants raised you to his cheek, and you gave him a small kiss.
“Hello, my love,” You said. “I thought you had a meeting.”
“I did,” Loki said. “It’s over, so now, I can spend some time with you before the party.”
“Speaking of which, what do you think?” You asked, motioning to the dress.
You did another twirl. Loki’s smile grew as she watched you, his love for you apparent. People thought the frost giants were hard, rude, unloving creatures that only cared for themselves. That was not true; you had never believed those rumors in the slightest. As a child on Asgard, you defended the giants when people tried to sully their name. They were your allies; how could people talk so callously about them?
Then, one day, the Chitauri invaded Asgard. People never knew how they managed to get past Heimdall, but they came, and it was terrible. You had been caught in the crossfires, and while trying to escape, you tripped. You fell, hitting your knee, and you felt pain. Two Chitauri soldiers loomed above you, ready to kill you when they turned into ice blocks. You were confused until you saw Loki standing behind them. He had come to aid in the battle. When he realized you couldn’t walk, he carried you to safety.
After that, you tried your hardest to sneak down to Jotun to revisit him, and you had to make your gratitude know. Lucky for you, Thor knew how to get to where the frost giants lived, and he officially introduced you to his friend. Loki was flirty right away, but you didn’t mind, and you returned his advances.
After a year of courting you, he announced to his people you were to be his queen. The giants were skeptical, but Loki would hear none of it. You were his tiny, little Asgardian wife, you were precious, and he would kill anyone who thought otherwise. It took a while, but the frost giants soon accepted you.
“Oh, stop that,” You chuckled. “Is it good enough for Thor’s party? It’s not too regal, is it?”
“Too regal?” Loki scoffed. “Dearest, nothing is too regal for you. And no matter what you wear, you’ll always have my attention.”
“Goodness, where did you get that mouth of yours?” You asked.
“Just born with it, I suppose,” He said.
~*~
“How come I don’t have a tiny wife?” Thor asked.
The future king of Asgard had partaken in a bit too much mead, or at least that is what you thought. You were sitting on Loki’s shoulder, leaning against his cheek, when Thor asked his question.
“I beg your pardon?” Loki asked.
“How come you get to have an itty bitty wife, but I don’t?” Thor took another sip from his mug. “Look at her! She’s so petite, and she can fit in your hand!”
“That’s true, I do,” You said. “And Loki has such soft hands. He may be strong, but he’s also gentle.”
“Only with you, my pet,” Loki gave you a soft smile.
“Ugh, look at the two of them!” Thor groaned. “How is this fair? Someone find me a maiden that is small enough to fit in my palm!”
You giggled at Thor’s antics. It was odd how many people seemed jealous that Loki had a tiny wife. Granted, Loki often showed you off. He’d hold you in his hand, showing you to the people and commenting on how wonderful you were. When he first wed you, it was had been embarrassing but now you loved it. In fact, you enjoyed his praise. Loki was a prince, he could have chosen anyone, but he had chosen you. His love for you had never faded, it had only grown, and it continued to grow. It was also fun to see men glower at him, whispering about how they wished for a small spouse to carry around.
“I don’t think there is a store where you can purchase a tiny wife,” Hogun said.
“Perhaps there is,” Volstagg said. “And maybe we just don’t know about it!”
“Maybe it’s hidden!” Fandral added. “We could go and find it.”
“Yes, our next great adventure will be the search for the small wife store!” Thor said, taking a long swig of his mug. “ANOTHER!”
He threw it on the ground, and it burst into tiny pieces. Everyone at the table cheered, but you merely rolled your eyes.
“Not finding this conversation riveting, my dear,” Loki asked, nuzzling you.
“Well, it does remind me of one thing,” You said, smiling. “I choose the right prince to marry.”
“You flatter me, my love,” Loki said. “Thor is not your type, I take it?”
“No, I prefer my men blue,” You teased. “And I prefer my men to have more than two function brain cells. I adore Thor, but there are times where I worry for him, and it’s a wonder his mother hasn’t managed to strangle him.”
“Well, maybe if he could find his own small wife, he’ll ‘mellow out’ as he puts it,” Loki said. “For now, he’ll just have to settle for being jealous.”
“Who wouldn’t be jealous of the king of the frost giants,” You asked. “Only a fool wouldn’t be.”
I had a card payment, a phone payment and a payment for my gym so I’m in need of money. Badly. So I’m reopening writing commissions until I’m good again. Right now, I’ll have four slots and when one reopens, I’ll update the post.

Last week was shitty and so was the weekend so I wanted to write something in which Loki is a jealous baby because jealous Loki is fun to write
Loki wouldn’t admit it, but he was a jealous person. Granted, he felt like he couldn’t help it. Loki had lived in the shadow of his brother all his life, so whenever he got something, Loki protected it. That included her.
“Careful, Steve, I might be too heavy,” She said.
“Nonsense,” Steve said. “You’re as light as a feather.”
Loki scowled, mockingly quoting Steve as he lifted you upon his shoulder. The worst part? The worst part about this whole thing was that she was smiling. Her smiles, her perfect, glorious smiles that should be for him only, were being aimed at Captain Goody Two-Shoes. Loki gripped his glass, ignoring the slight pain as he cracked it. So what if Steve was strong enough that he could lift her? What was so great about being able to raise someone?
“Okay, my turn!” Thor said.
The glass in Loki’s hand was on the verge of breaking as Steve handed you off to his brother. Great, now he got to touch his girlfriend too? How was this fair? Once more, her face was lit up by her gorgeous smile. Why? Why did Thor get a smile too? This was maddening! Thor then pushed you upwards and caught you, holding her bridal style.
“Are you sure I’m not too heavy?” She asked.
“As the Captain said, you’re light as a feather,” Thor grinned. “I could hold ten of you and not break a sweat. Besides, you fit well in my hands.”
“Oh Thor, you’re such a sweetheart,” She said.
Sweet? SWEET!?!
The glass in Loki’s hand shattered, causing everyone to stare at him.
“Loki?” She asked. “Thor put me down.”
Thor obeyed, and you ran over to Loki. While he was a god, he could still bleed, and the glass had cut his hand slightly.
“What happened?” She asked.
“Nothing,” Loki hid his hand. “Nothing that concerns you anyways.”
“Nothing that---excuse me?”
She looked hurt, good. Loki wanted her to hurt, just for a bit. She had been ignoring him the entire party, and now she suddenly cared?
“Yes, it seems as if we’re no longer dating, and you’re apparently with either Steve or my brother,” Loki said. “Now, if you’ll excuse me.”
“Loki!” She called after him as he walked away.
To his surprise, she ran after him as he left. Loki was being petty, he knew this, but his heart was aching. Why? Why did she have to be friendly with the others? It wasn’t just Steve and Thor; she was nice to all the Avengers. Why couldn’t she just be nice to him? That was all he wanted. He was being childish and extremely selfish, but he didn’t care.
“Loki, do not walk away from me!”
Loki stopped and turned to look at his girlfriend. Oh, she was angry. She marched over to him, her smiles gone and replaced with a murderous gaze.
“What the hell that was?” She asked.
“I should ask you the same question,” Loki returned. “Oh Thor, you’re such a sweetheart? Could you be any more obvious with your admiration for him?”
“Oh, excuse me for having friends,” She crossed her arms. “Yes, how dare I be sweet to my friends.”
“Oh please, you were practically swooning! Go on then, become another one of Thor’s conquests, see if I care!”
She smacked him across the face for that.
“Now listen here, you insufferable, entitled, rude, little brat! Against my better judgment, I love you. I chose to be with you. I choose to continue to be with you. But if I am with you, you do not get to talk like me that. You don’t ever get to say such horrible words to me. Got it?”
Loki was shocked as he held his face. This was new. Not just from her but in general. No woman had ever talked to him like this before. Most women just obeyed him, hoping they would become a princess if they did what he said. They took insults, names, and other nasty comments easily but not her, not his little mortal. There was anger in her eyes as she stared at him, her finger raised and in his face. Oddly, it made him love her even more.
“Darling, I---” Loki was cut off.
“Thor is my friend. Nothing more, nothing less. It hurts that you think I’d just leave you for him or Steve. Is that what you really think of me?”
All of the jealously Loki had been holding onto vanished at those words.
“No, darling, no,” Loki grabbed her hand. “I don’t think that not really. I just know that you’ll abandon sooner or later.”
“Abandon you?”
“Beloved,” Loki sighed. “Let’s face it, I’m not good enough for you. I’m a charlatan, a monster, a nothing. Thor is someone. Even Steve is someone. I know that one day you’re going to get wise and leave me because that is what I would do. Who would want to be with me?”
“Loki,” Her anger faded. “Sweetheart, do you think you don’t deserve to be with me?”
“No, I don’t,” Loki said. “I’m still confused as to why you’re here, darling. You warm my bed, you stroke my face, you lavish love on me, you smile at me every single day, and I do not deserve any of it.”
“That’s not true,” She said, reaching up and stroking his face.
Loki closed his eyes, leaning into her palm. All of his anger and resentment towards the two Avengers was gone. Instead, his heart ached. He wanted her to understand how much he loved her, but Loki also felt she deserved better.
“I’m sorry,” He said. “I wasn’t angry at you; I was jealous. Jealous because Steve or Thor can give you more than I can.”
“That’s also not true,” She said, caressing his face. “Loki, I don’t love Steve, and I don’t love Thor. I love you. You’re the person that makes me happy, even though you can be a jealous asshole sometimes. I’m here with you because I love you, and you can’t change that.”
“I’m sorry,” He said again. “I just---when I see you smile at others, I can’t help but get jealous. I want you to smile at me and no one else. I hate having to share you.”
“Okay, that’s kinda sweet,” She said, a smile gracing her lips. “But you’re going to have to learn how to share me, babe. What happens when we have kids?”
“I don’t know I---wait, kids?” Loki asked. “You---you want to have children with me?”
“I mean, you’d have to ask me to marry you, but yes,” She said. “One of these days, we--”
Loki didn’t let her finish. He kissed her, closing his eyes and enjoying the feeling of her soft lips. Thankfully, she kissed him back. He grabbed her and twirled her around, savoring the closeness of her body. Oh, his perfect, sweet mortal. He really didn’t deserve her, but he was content with the fact that she loved him.
“Feeling better?” She asked. “How is your hand?”
“I already healed it,” He said, pressing his forehead against hers. “Forgive me for being a lout?”
“Yes, but you also have to apologize to Thor and Steve,” She said. “And you have to stop hiding your feelings so much. I’m here for you Loki, I always will be.”
She gave him another award-winning smile, and Loki felt all negative feelings leave his body. What a lucky god he was.
Thank @thepilotanon for giving me this adorable idea.
“You have ten seconds to explain what happened, Bugman,” Loki said.
“It’s Antman, and if you’re going to insult me, I’m not helping,” Scott said.
“This is amazing!” You said, trying to pick up a pencil. “Wow, this is heavy now.”
Okay, so maybe putting on Scott’s suit to help him test it wasn’t the best idea you had ever had. Now, you were only 3 inches tall. As you wore the suit, something happened; a glitch or a malfunction. When you tried to change back to your normal size, he wouldn’t work. With the suit too tiny to work on, Scott had no idea how to change you back. Your boyfriend was furious.
“I knew I should have stopped them from helping you,” Loki growled. “Look at what you’ve done! Do you have any idea how dangerous this is? I’m holding you responsible if anything happens too---”
“GERONIMO!”
Loki glanced down to see you jumping off the desk. His hand shot out and grabbed you. He held you against his chest like a baby, sighing with relief.
“Aw, man,” You pouted. “I wanted to see if I could land in Scott’s backpack! Put me down!”
“Absolutely not!” Loki said. “You could have been hurt. Why would you jump at your size?”
“Loki put me down!” You fought against his grip.
“No, I’m not putting you down until you’re the appropriate size,” Loki glared at Scott. “Fix this, or I will end you. Understood?”
“God, you must be fun at parties,” Scott quipped. “I’m already working on a way to fix it, don’t get your panties in a bunch.”
~*~
Exploring the world while being three inches tall was fun.
Well, it was fun for you. Loki didn’t seem to be enjoying it.
After he took you away from Scott, Loki had taken you to the kitchen. He set you down on the counter, looking for something to contain you in. Frowning, you crossed your arms and took in your surroundings. Loki was so busy trying to find a container that he didn’t notice you looking around, taking in how large everything was. An apple was the size of a car now. When Thor entered the kitchen, you smiled as a wicked idea formed in your head.
“Hello, brother,” Thor said. “How are you this day?”
“Frazzled,” He replied. “One of your hero friends ruined my Y/N.”
“Ruined?” Thor asked, picking up the apple. “What happ---”
“BOO!” You shouted, popping out from behind the apple.
Loki whirled around. He shrieked as he ran over and grabbed you off the apple.
“Hey!” You shouted.
“You were about to eat that?” Loki asked. “Did you not see them? How could you be so careless?”
“Loki, I was just playing,” You said, trying to wiggle out of his grasp. “Let go!”
“Y/N? Is that you?” Thor asked.
Thor reached over and plucked you from Loki’s hands. You sat down in Thor’s palm and waved up at him.
“Hi, big guy! Well, now you really are the big guy!” You said. “I had a tiny accident with Scott’s suit. Get it? Tiny?”
“Are you in any pain?” Thor asked.
“Nope, I’m fine,” You said. “See, watch it?”
You stood up and walked across Thor’s arm. Loki whimpered, wanting to grab you but also afraid you’d fall. Like a tightrope walker, you skillfully made your way across and then climbed up to his shoulder.
“Tada!” You said proudly.
“Y/N, get down! You’ll fall!” Loki begged.
“I didn’t know you could climb so well,” Thor offered up his hand, and you jumped back into it. “Where did you learn how to do that?”
“I climbed trees all the time when I was little,” You said. “I’m like a monkey!”
“Alright, that’s enough fun and games,” Loki reached for you.
“No! Thor, don’t let him take me!” You begged.
Thor pulled his hand back, causing Loki to glare at him.
“Thor, give them back,” He demanded.
“Thor, Loki won’t let me do anything! I want to explore, and he keeps treating me like a baby!”
“Loki, I don’t see why you can’t let Y/N have some freedom at this size,” Thor said. “What’s the harm in it?”
“What’s the harm? They’re the size of a bug. They could get stepped on, kicked, sucked up one of those vacuum machines,” Loki listed off. “I’m trying to protect them. Just give them to me.”
“I can help you watch them,” Thor said. “How does that sound? Two pairs of eyes are better than one, as the humans say.”
“Well,” Loki said. “I suppose if we both watch them, there is less chance of losing them.”

Loki needed to keep his mouth shut.
An hour later and his little Y/N was missing.
Thor found Y/N riding the Roomba, and they chased them for what felt like hours. No matter what Loki did, Y/N tried to spurn his attempts of protection. Loki had tried putting Y/N in a cup, but they tipped it over. After searching for Y/N, the two brothers found Y/N riding the Roomba again.Thor suggested putting a plastic container over them (with holes, of course) and placing it down. Y/N managed to also push that over, and Loki found them attempting to turn a sink into a swimming pool. Loki’s last resort was a bucket over his mate, and even that didn’t work because now, he had no idea where Y/N.
“Y/N?” He shouted as he looked under the couch. “Darling, are you there?”
Thor searched upstairs while Loki was in the living room, on his hands and knees, desperate to find you. Protecting you had been easy when you had been normal size; with you the size of a bug, he was useless. His magic, his wits, and his skills could do nothing to keep you safe. He felt like a failure. What would he do if he found your lifeless body? How could he forgive himself? His heart was on the verge of bursting when he heard a noise from the common area.
“Kick hiss ass Obi-Wan!”
“Y/N?” Loki got up. “Y/N!”
He ran towards the source of the noise. Sure enough, there was his sweet Y/N. They were sitting on a pile of books, a chocolate chip cookie sitting in their lap. Their feet dangled as they watched the massive television. Loki sighed with relief as he ran over to the table.
“Beloved, there you are!” Loki went to pick them up.
“Shhhhhh!” They said. “Loki, this is the best part of the movie. Obi-Wan and Darth Vader are going to fight. Let me watch this part, and then you can lock me up.”
Lock them up.
In his attempts to protect his lover, Loki was making them feel like they had no freedom. He hadn’t considered that; he had just been so worried. He sat down next to the table, looking up at the screen. Oh, it was that Space Battle movie they loved so much. Someone must have turned it on for them. He glanced over, looking at their small face. There was chocolate all over it, along with a smile. Loki managed to smile, too; maybe he had been too worried.
Suddenly, Y/N shook. The cookie dropped from their hand. In small bursts, Y/N became larger, and soon, they were their normal size.
“Hey, look at that!” They smiled. “I guess the particles wore off! I’m back to--OOF!”
Loki tackled them in a hug.
“Thank god,” He whispered. “I could have lost you. I could do anything to protect you, I could have lost you, and it would have been my fault.”
“Loki?”
“Oh god,” Loki shook as he started to cry. “I could have lost you, I could have lost you, I could have lost you.”
“Loki,” Y/N rubbed the back of his head. “You didn’t lose me. I’m still here, aren’t I? I can take care of myself. You don’t have to always try to keep me safe, you know.”
“But what if---”
“Hush, that’s enough,” You said. “Come on, let’s sit up on the couch and watch the rest of the movie, okay? Just the two of us.”
Y/N got up and pulled Loki towards the couch. They grabbed a blanket and tossed it over Loki. Then crawled under it, snuggling against him. The stress of the day was starting to ebb away as his beloved leaned against him. Loki looked down at them, and Y/N looked up at him, a huge smile on their face.
“Feel better?” They asked.
“I’m starting too,” Loki said, wrapping an arm around them.
“I didn’t mean to scare you, baby,” Y/N said. “I was just having so much fun.”
“I know. I just didn’t want some idiot stepping on you,” Loki sighed.
“Let’s forget about shrinking and just enjoy Star Wars,” They said. “Too bad we don’t have some popcorn.”
Loki snapped his fingers, and a bucket of popcorn appeared before them. Y/N giggled and gave Loki a kiss on the cheek before grabbing a few kernels.
Loki finds his beloved crying and her dress ruined. How will he handle this?
(Also, if you like this story and want to help me out, you can tip me on ko-fi.)
Loki threw open the doors to the bed-chamber you two shared. Instantly, you grabbed a nearby robe and threw it on yourself. Lying to the God of Lies was idiotic, but you thought that maybe, just this once, you could get away with it. Loki walked towards you, and you offered a weak smile. People thought Thor was scary when he was angry, but Loki? He was absolutely terrifying. You had a feeling Thor had already told Loki what had happened because you knew he wasn’t mad at you, but it was still scary to see him so furious.
“Evening, dearest,” You said, trying to sound happy. “Is everything all right?”
“What happened?” Loki asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Thor told me you ran to our room with tears in your eyes,” Loki noticed the robe. “Why are you wearing that?”
“It’s my robe,” You answered.
“It’s summer in Asgard,” Loki frowned. “You were complaining about the heat this morning, and now you’ve thrown a robe over your gown?”
Damnit.
“I got cold,”
“Darling, I adore you, but you are a horrid liar,” Loki said. “Take the robe off.”
“No,” You pulled it around your shoulders.
That had been the wrong answer. With a snap of his fingers, Loki caused the robe to vanish. It was a useless gesture, but you tried to cover the ruined strap of your dress, but it was too late. Loki removed your hand and inspect the frayed fabric; the strap of your gown was ruined, barely holding itself together. Anger started to fill him as his eyes darkened.
“Who did this?” He asked, his word laced with venom.
Well, there was no point in lying to him now.
“One of the guards,” You said softly.
Despite being summer, the room felt cold suddenly. Loki’s eyes were turning red, signaling his change into a Frost giant. Oh, he was beyond furious now. It was only going to get worse when you told him the rest. Sighing, you held yourself as you gathered up the courage to tell him more.
“I was on my way to the library when I was stopped by three guards,” You continued. “I tried to go past them, but they blocked the hallway. They began to make---comments.”
“About what?” Loki asked.
“My body,”
“There names,” He said through gritted teeth. “Now.”
“I--don’t know their names,”
It was all too much. You knew that Loki’s anger wasn’t directed at you, but your emotions had been hanging on by a thread. You sobbed and covered your face, tears falling freely. The chill in the air vanished as Loki gathered you up in his arms. His anger had vanished momentarily, and he rubbed the back of your head, trying to soothe you. While Loki was scary when angered, he could never be mad at you. He admitted that when you cried, his heart broke. You were his one weakness, and he was proud of that.
“It’s alright darling, I’m here now,” He cooed. “I’m going to make this right, I promise.”
“I just don’t understand why they cornered me,” You said between sobs. “I wasn’t bothering anyone.”
“I know you weren’t my sweet,” Loki kissed your forehead. “They’re just jealous.”
“Jealous? Jealous of what?”
“Jealous that you are mine,” Loki said. “Jealous that you’re beautiful and you won’t give them your precious time. Jealous that they don’t get to touch you, kiss you or hold you. Either way, I will find the swine that did this to you. But first---”
Loki stepped away. He smiled as he made a flourish with his hands. The gorgeous Asgardian gown you had been wearing melted into a modern dress. Of course, it was green with black leggings, brown boots, and a white coat. Loki snapped, and his royal garb also transformed into his Midgardian disguise. Another snap of his fingers and a red rose materialized between his fingers. You giggled as he handed it to you.
“I think you need a night out,” He said.
~*~
Loki was a romantic.
That surprised many people but not you. He was a god. Of course, he was romantic. It was in their nature, or at least you thought it was. While Loki was a cautious, reserved person for the most part, but not when it came to you. Thor always remarked how amazing it was that you got him to open up. It hadn’t been easy; no relationship was. All the hard work you had put into getting Loki to let you in had paid off. You were not just dating a god, but you were living with his kind as a princess. You weren’t a princess yet, but you were treated like one. ; you had your own servants, a massive closet filled with the finest Asgardian clothing, and you even had your own unicorn.
And Loki still found ways to spoil you rotten.
While you usually stayed on Asgard, the two of you frequented Earth. It was your home, after all, and there were certain things that Asgard just didn’t have, like Five Guys and movie theaters.
This particular visit started off in Tiffany & Co.
Thanks to his glamour, no one realized who Loki was, but you were pretty sure that the clerk helping you didn’t care. All he cared about what Loki’s credit card limit.
“Which one do you prefer, darling?” Loki asked, his arms around your waist.
There were two rings on your fingers; a silver one with peridot in the middle and a golden one with an emerald. Two gems, both green, the color of Loki. How could you just pick one?
“Both,” You answered confidently.
“You heard the lady,” Loki kissed your cheek. “We’ll take both.”
“An excellent choice,” The man said. “Now, you did say you were interested in necklaces too?”
“Yes,” Loki said. “And remember, money is no object. We want to see the best you have.”
“Right away, sir,”
You slipped the rings off your fingers, allowing the clerk to put them aside. It didn’t matter how many times Loki took you on a shopping spree; it was always exciting. This was every girl’s dream, to be doted on and have your wildest dreams fulfilled. All your life, you had wanted to go to Tiffany’s, even if you just stood outside of the building; to be inside, buying whatever you wanted was surreal to you. Besides the rings, you had purchased a few pairs of earrings, some bracelets, and a watch.
Loki kissed your cheek again as the clerk returned with a selection of necklaces. Automatically, your eyes landed on a gorgeous pearl and emerald choker. Yes, you were drawn to the green, but you loved pearls. Loki grinned as he saw your excitement; he motioned to the clerk to pick up the choker, and he obeyed, offering it to you.
“This is absolutely gorgeous,” You said.
“We’ll take it,” Loki said.
“But I didn’t even try it on,” You said.
“I can already picture it around your perfect neck, love,” Loki said. “We’ll take it.”
You took the choker and a few other pieces before moving to your next destination; Saks Fifth Avenue. Instead of carrying your purchases, Loki used his magic to transport them back to your room at home. You were okay with that; that meant you could hold his hand as the two of you walked down the street. Already, you were feeling better. Smiling, you placed a kiss on Loki’s cheek.
“What was that for love?”
“Just because,” You said.
“Oh?” Loki smiled. “What would I get for this?”
Loki held his hand in front of your face and then turned it around, revealing two tickets. You read the words and gasped.
“Are those tickets to Wicked?” You asked. “But Loki, I thought you hated musicals.”
“Maybe I haven’t seen the right now yet,” Loki said. “And does it matter if I dislike them? You love them and today is all about you. After we’re done shopping, we’ll go see our show, and then I’ll take you to dinner.”
“Oh, Loki,” You pulled him closer and kissed his lips. “You’re absolutely wonderful. You didn’t have to do all this.”
“Of course I did, my love,” Loki caressed your face. “You’re my heart. If someone hurts you, they hurt me. Once your over what those brutes did to you, I’ll go back home and punish the louts. But for now, your happiness is my priority.”
After shopping and the show, you didn’t know how the day could get better. Loki, ever the romantic, had one more trick up his sleeve. Once Wicked was over, you thought the two of you would head home. Instead, Loki gave you a small box and told you to open it. You were confused when you found a dog collar. You felt like you were on cloud 9 for the rest of the day.
“Are you trying to tell me something?” You asked, picking it up. “This is way too small for me.”
“No, but it’s not too small for this little fellow,” Loki said, snapping his fingers.
In a puff of green smoke, a black dachshund puppy appeared in his hands. You gasped, dropping the collar. Loki was not a fan of dogs, but you loved them. Years ago, you had lost your old dachshund, Brownie, and had to put him to sleep. It was something you mentioned often, but you never thought Loki would buy you a dog.
“Is---is he mine?” You asked.
“Yes, he is,” Loki smiled as he handed the dog over.
“Loki, you hate dogs,” You said, taking the puppy. “Are you sure?”
“First, I have a question for you,” Loki said. “Do you love dogs?”
“Yes.”
“And have you wanted a puppy for years since your old furry friend died?”
“Yes,” You answered again.
“Would having this little one on Asgard with you make you unbelievably happy?” Loki asked.
“Yes, but---”
“But nothing. My beloved, I only care about your happiness. While I prefer cats, I think I can learn how to love this little fellow for you.”
“Oh, Loki,” You purred and gave him another kiss on the lips. “You’re too good to me.”
~*~
“Are you sure the prince won’t find out what we did?”
“You need to relax, Ansgar,” Dag said. “Like that fat cow is going to say anything.”
“You still attacked Prince Loki’s fiance,” Ansgar continued. “If he finds out, he could kill you or worse.”
“What is worse than being killed?” Egil asked. “You’re worrying too much. Oh, and speak of the cow.”
The other two guards turned to see Y/N walking down the hall. She held her head high, a smile on her face and a new necklace around her neck. The green and gold gown shimmered with each step she took, the flowy fabric fluttering about her. The future princess was always wearing her lover’s colors; her wardrobe was nothing but green and gold. Each outfit created for her was also revealing, showing she was a bigger woman. Loki did it on purpose; he loved his fiance’s curves. Dag sneered at Y/N’s smug look. How could she walk around, acting like she was some beauty when she looked like that?
Trotting alongside her were two dachshund puppies, both black. Her focus was on the puppies, so she didn’t even notice the guards until they blocked her way. Y/N’s smile vanished in an instant.
“Oh, it’s you three,” She said. “Out my way, now.”
“It looks like the cow grew fangs,” Dag chuckled. “What happened to the scared little pig from yesterday?”
“Excuse me?” Y/N asked. “How dare you talk to me this way!”
“Um, Dag, maybe we shouldn’t,” Ansgar began.
“Shut up. She can’t do anything,” Egil said. “She’s a human, she has no powers, and she can’t fight. What are you worried about?”
“You do know who my fiance is, right?” Y/N asked. “Loki will have your heads for this.”
“Last time I checked, your Loki isn’t here,” Dag asked, taking a step forward.
One of the puppies barked loudly and snapped at Dag’s heels. Its eyes glowed green, morphing and growing until Loki stood before the three men. Dag’s face went white.
“You were saying?” Loki’s voice was filled with ice.
“Your lordship,” Ansgar dropped down to his knees. “I---”
“Enough,” Loki held up his hands. “It seems like the three of you have forgotten a few things. The first thing you have forgotten is that you are guards, nothing more. You have no power unless I or someone from the royal family say so. Secondly, you have forgotten that this glorious, wonderful, perfect woman right here--”
Loki grabbed your hand, pulled it to his face, and kissed it before glaring back at the three men.
“Is my fiance. That makes her a future royal. Therefore, she is above all of you,” Loki said. “And lastly, you seem to have forgotten that I am not a loving, peaceful god. I am not my brother; I am the lord of mischief and lies. Now, while I won’t kill you three, I am going to punish you. My love, do you have any suggestions?”
“Well, I don’t think they’re fit to be guards,” Y/N said, picking up her puppy. “In fact, they act more like pigs. Maybe that would suit them instead.”
“A brilliant idea as always, my sweet,” Loki said, turning to the three guards. “I hope you enjoy the royal farms for a few days.”
The three men started to scramble, but it was pointless. Loki called upon his magic, and the three men began to change. They shrank as their skin turned pink, squealing as their hands formed into hooves. Soon, three piglets stood in the hall among discarded clothing. The pigs squealed in fear, scrambling to run away. Loki allowed them to flee; they would be found sooner or later.
“I think Coco Puff wants to play,” Y/N said, smiling at the puppy who was barking after the pigs.
“I don’t think it would be a fair fight,” Loki said, wrapping an arm around Y/N. “Coco Puff would surely win.”
“True,” Y/N said, smiling at Loki. “You really are a true gentleman. Has anyone ever told you that?”
“Maybe,” Loki grinned. “I could stand to hear it more.”
“You could also stand to hear this more,” Y/N said, pulling him close. “I love you.”
“I love you too, dearest,” Loki said.
The two of them shared a kiss, and Coco puff barked.
