Took the boyf for his first tattoo. My artist’s apprentice was there and she loves Magical Girl anime so we instantly bonded over Utena and got a rose crest!

✨So I've been wanting to post pics of these for literal ages✨

The rose crest on my right arm represents my present, where I'm caught up in my own game of rose duels to escape my abusers and revolutionise my world. The rose on my left arm represents my future (and also Lady Oscar) where I am a flourishing, fragrant rose. However should anybody wish me harm ever again, I will have thorns to defend myself with.

Here and now these tatts are a reminder of what I'm fighting for. Something to draw courage and strength from. I hope in the future they will be souvenirs from a battle I won. Something to remind me of how strong I was back then. (And perhaps a reassurance that I'll never have to be that strong again)
