Designing a ball gown: Day 0 (recap)
My goal for this entire project is to redesign and repair a dress I thrifted.
So far I have cut out the old dress bodice entirely and am planning out how I am going to replace it:
I’m going to use these two fabrics:
Will update soon! References and inspiration can be provided upon request
I'm realizing now I never posted photos of the finished blanket I made a yearish ago! This was for my niece for her second xmas, and I'm suuuuuper proud of how it turned out. got the stitch pattern from a crochet book and made the rest up myself!
first finished project of 2026!
bottom up tote is coming along, first project in a long time. i abandoned the pattern very quickly lol.
Face The Hurricane
[ID: A lone person stands on a grassy hill. They are holding an inverted umbrella and their top hat has flown off. In front of them is an opaque whirlwind. ]
He’d been… away… but as far as Wilbur was concerned, he was fine now, he was going to visit Quackity. Make up some drama, mess around, maybe even gamble.
As he drew near, he saw smoke coming out of the van’s doors, and the lights on. Great, he thought. Ranboo must have burned the burgers again.
He was fine now, he’d go help out his employee.
It wasn’t the first time this had happened, ranboo seemed to enter into a strange state sometimes where he would stare at the wall. Wilbur knew how to extinguish fires now.
Even if he was used to setting them.
He unlocked the door, and stepped inside to find a floating apparition. Memories of a pale blue ghost filled his mind, until he looked closer.
A gash with red and green blood, like his eyes. A sheet covered him. Half black, half white. His ring was gone.
Designing a ball gown: Day 3
I made a fabric mock up of the bodice and tweaked the neckline.
I have cut out the front and back cotton bodice pieces, and after some thought have decided to fully line them. (Basically a second layer underneath, of the same fabric)
(Sorry for less-than-stellar lighting)
I’m thinking of changing the back bodice neckline to a wide V instead of a square; what do you guys think?
