It is really interesting to me that Senshi only has a "2" for intelligence on his statistics page. I guess we really only see him talking about what he knows best, and he has admitted that he could never tell the difference between ores when growing up. To me though, 'intelligence' is such a nebulous word, so I wondered if you have any thoughts on how it is meant!
I did have some thoughts about it! I think intelligence in those charts look like academic/theoric knowledge, like how studied the characters are I suppose?
Marcille and Mithrun are the only ones to have a 5 and they're both experts in their areas, while Kabru Laios and Falin are students even if they're very knowledgeble about their respective areas of study, they still have things to learn, Falin herself is a "natural" learner but has a lower Intelligence than Marcille thats probably because she doesnt study quite as much? While Kabru and Laios are basically specialists in humans and monsters respectivelly with lots of knowledge about it but aren't experts like Marcille is in anciet magic.
The next highest is chilchuck who is an specialist in a trade, lockpicking, perhaps because his knowledge is so focused that his stat is lower than the other 3? I supposed his trade is more about technique than theory so maybe thats why.
While Senshi and Izutsumi don't really study anything, their knowledge is from experience/the basic that they were taught. Senshi might be an expert in monster cooking but none of it is written down and he works on it more on instinct/experience as a cook, so I guess he would be an specialist in a trade like chilchuck but with no "theory" learned so to speak.
These are all just my assumptions tho! Hope it made sense
