vent art? rot au pleading intellect lore? why not both! (yapping under the cut)

Pleading Intellect’s chamber is made of glass, and sits in the middle of their city. They are a focal point of many festivals and will sing and dance and tell stories to the crowds of tourists who flock to their city to see them, as their structure is located in a beautiful area close to the shore. Because of the tourism, their city is very wealthy, and they are adorned with gold and silk to reflect that.

Isn’t it undignified? Watched at all hours, stripped bare, their art seen as entertainment to be consumed? PIn loathes performing by the time Pebbles befriends them. It feels meaningless, any artistic or emotional expression they put into them is chewed up and spit out without a second thought. At first, they’re reluctant to even talk about the ceremonies and dances with Pebbles, worried that he’ll treat them the same. But he doesn’t. He notices little things, asks questions, responds to them with intrigue, and PIn finally feels like they’re being seen rather than watched. They start enjoying creation again, at least when it comes to Pebbles, adding flairs of their own to dances they’d performed emotionlessly for cycles, putting emotion into them that someone finally acknowledges.

It’s a miracle they don’t rot themself the second Pebbles offers.

Yeah she needs friends but she's stuck in confinement, I'll try to think of who she would want to interact with as she isn't exactly friendly to most individuals in the lab for stuffing her in a cell.
