First, I love how everybody who meets Duncan adopts him on sight. The odds of another trial to fight over his custody are REAL.
Also, the fact that he was never knighted and took matters into his own hands. King behavior.
Lyonel, you incredibly stupid man, I absolutely ADORE you.
Love how he put some sense into Dunk: “I fought for you! Apple boy fought for you!”
Pretty sure he baited a reaction out of him when he said it was a good thing Baelor died, because it freaked him out to see Duncan so unresponsive.
And the “I’ll love you like a brother” and “I’ll hate you like a brother”? Chills. Literal chills. (I’m honestly surprised there’s more Aerion x Duncan fic than Lyonel x Duncan on AO3.)

Honestly, am I the only one wondering how Duncan managed to hear what he said? The boy is even more soft-spoken than his dad. I know I wouldn’t have heard a thing with the wind.
Rowan, my girl, slay. She’s so smart, snapping up a kind and strong (and obviously passionate) guy to marry her. She knows how to play the game for sure.
And I was sooo happy for my boy Raymun. Is the baby his? Probably not, but his fiancée seems fond of him.

I wanted to comfort Maekar so badly. Losing his big brother devastated him. And he’s such a good dad. He genuinely cares for all of his babies. It feels good to see positive father representation in the media.
And Aegon? The way I CACKLED when Maekar was looking for him at the end. That child is a troublemaker. I love him so much.
