Ghosts with just voices (your words in my memory) - My WIP. My Gallavich amnesia fic! I think I'm particularly proud of this one because it kinda was my first real nose dive into Gallavich and Shameless fandom. I'd written a couple of character studies/gap fillers before this, but this was the first one that I conceptualized and really went for. I love writing angst and pining, and I love that the premise also allows me to explore the established canon from a whole new angle.

(long live) king of the south side - My gallavich masquerade fic, a prince & royal guard AU. This one is more of a personal milestone, because not only was it the first event I joined in the fandom, but it was my first actual AU for Gallavich, and my first time ever posting smut!

Imagine - A Hollanov, second person character study surrounding Ilya's development from his childhood up until he sees Shane with Rose. I didn't have much experience with second person, and Ilya is such a meaty character. There's just so much there that I wanted to explore, and somehow almost toe the line between meta analysis and poetry.

Stardust in the Eyes - This one was more a labour of love. It's an AU based loosely on Casper (1995), written for a tiny ship in the Kingdom Hearts fandom: roxner (roxas/hayner). The world needs more roxner content. I had originally pitched this for a Big Bang event. And the whole event (and it's associated discord server) imploded.

Turns out there was a ton of behind the scenes toxicity with the mod team. They were cliquey and cruel, just mean-spirited and gas lighting people about it. Would form a united front instead of taking accountability or correcting their friends' behavior. I joined events in adjacent fandoms after the fact and befriended people who had also been negatively impacted by these people in some way. It was a time.

Anyway, I loved this concept and the ship. I wanted to complete it. But without the looming deadline or a community that comes with an established event, I just kept putting it off as other things came up. Getting it done was really important to me.

sad eyes, bad guys, mouth full of white lies - This one is an oldie but a goldie. My magnum opus probably. It's a JayRoy high school au. My first completed multi-chapter, and for the first pairing I ever posted to ao3.

I still have a lot of my DC Comics mutuals, and it was the first fandom space that I really felt a sense of community and made friends. Especially within the Teen Titans animated spaces. These characters changed my life.

The fic took me over two years to complete, has been complete for like 8 years now, and I have no doubt that my writing has gotten immeasurably better since then, but I still get kudos and comments on it. I think I still have a one-shot/spin-off prompt for it somewhere in my tumblr askbox. It really defined a lot of my early fandom days.

Plus, I kinda feel like things have come full circle a little, since it was JayRoy that put Gallavich on my radar initially, even if I didn't watch Shameless back then.
