Collin chucked at Tay’s reaction.

“Yeah, they know. They got back the day after we told everybody. Athena was insisting to be home for the birth and hatching. Vio is trying to hid his excitement but he’s a happy Octo; his first great grand child. He’s picked up the morning work to let Lulu rest cause she’s dealing with a lot of morning sickness,” Collin explained.

“That being said, I’m over the moon. Being told your infertile for like forever, it was a shock to all of us. Our squishy. My kid,” Collin continues with a happy chuckle, “Though right now Lulu wants to keep things on the low. Only family and friends knowing.”

“Glad to hear it—I figured Vio would be a big softy about it if it’s Lulu.” Tay smiles at the thought. “Nice of him to come home to take care of things.”

“Oh, really?” He rubs his chin. “Congratulations, then! A little miracle.” Was it a miracle if they hadn’t planned it? Collin seemed happy enough, so there was no point in putting a damper on things. “I could understand that—my lips are sealed. Is it alright for me to come in, or should I return at a later date? I wouldn’t want to disturb Lulu’s rest, but I don’t mind just talking to you.”

Smokescreen, not yet accustomed to Earth (or humans), stood away from the group of fellow Cybertronians and the little human aliens but listening in.  He understands enough English to understand what is being said but would like further explanation in their own language, with its nuances and details.  English is so very basic and bland.  Primitive.

Seeing Magnus finished with his conversation in the group and leaving, Smokescreen followed.  ‘Commander, a few minutes please,’ he called ahead to Ultra Magnus in the hallway.  ‘I’d like to hear more about what you think are allowed conditions for malicious compliance.’

“We’ve gots to make sures there is lotsa colour or the bees wont come” Nero instructed his little sister. Myra was only 5 years old. Nero being older at 7, was all to happy to share is extra 2 years off worldly experience with his sibling. 

They were sat out in the garden of thier country estate home, working on the construction of a bee sanctuary. Fleur had let them both watch a new documentary on how the bees were starting to disappear in the world, and their habitat was being ruined by housing developments and such. Myra and Nero had made a pact that night, under their blanket fort, in the light of his power rangers flashlight, to save the bees. 

2 weeks later and they had transformed a small corner of the pristine lawn (much to Josiahs irk) into a muddy circle of wild flowers to help feed the local bees. But so far they were yet to see any bees visit their new attraction, so had begun to rearrange and add more wild flowers. Some had been collected by Fleur, and a few even came from their big brother Marcus. He hated bees.. but Nero was unrelenting in his task and hounded him until he finally agreed to help out. 

Josiah shrugged off his suit jacket and hung it over a chair at the dinning table before making his way out to the patio. A quick glance of the area told him Mrya and Nero were elbows deep in mud, Marcus was practising his new found skills by blowing away stray leaves on to the compost heap, and Fleur sat on her rattan furniture. She had a book in one hand while the other rested beside a glass of leomande, fresh from the fridge judging by the water droplets around the rim. He waved across to Marcus when the eldest son waved in greeting, and made his way to join Fleur. “I see they have extended that sabctuary even further” he laughed, leaning down to plant a kiss atop his wifes head.

The sun had set over Cuttlefish Cabin, but Finn had no intention of going home. He had a job to do, after all, he’d promised, and Octavio wasn’t going to watch himself.

. . . Not that it felt like there was much point, as earlier Marie had put a large sheet over the globe, and the Octarian prisoner had long settled off to sleep. Because of this, instead of focusing on watching guard, the young Inkling busied himself with sewing up a tattered Zapfish dummy. It was a mindless task, but it beat laying awake at home and staring at the ceiling for hours on end.

Hearing someone arrive, he adjusted his glasses (this wasn’t any hour to still be wearing contact lenses) and looked up – maybe Marie had forgotten something, and come back? To his surprise, however, it was the other Squid Sister.

“Oh- Callie, hi! Were you looking for your cousin? She uh, she just left, sorry. Had to record a late-night podcast, I think. There’s a few crabby cakes leftover in the cabin if you want anything to eat though, uh…”

Finn awkwardly trials off, he hadn’t exactly had a real conversation with Callie after the showdown below ground – and before that, even. He’d wanted to show that he had no hard feelings by being polite, but as a result, they’d not spoken about it since, or at all. He wasn’t even entirely clear on her situation or motives, since he’d been too occupied patching things up with Molly.

“How’re, um… how’re things? ... Busy?”

What is HTTYD Rare Pair Week?

It’s annual prompt week event, that started in 2016, to celebrate the rare pairs within the HTTYD franchise. Rare pairs are defined as any pair that is rare within the fandom, i.e. ships with a small fan base.

How do I participate? By creating fanworks of any kind (e.g. fanfic, art, edits, playlists, etc) for as many of the prompts you like, for any rare pairs you like and on the actual posting day, post your contribution tagged #httydrarepairweek or #httydrarepairweek2018. There’s no limit to which prompts you do, or how many times you do a prompt or for which rare pair you do them for. The works can be in canon, or alternate universes or whatever. Enjoy creating!
