When looking for content of My Beloved Ruby I was kinda surprised to see discussions up asking if her connection to the Knowby family was ever explained

Was I alone in assuming that was a lie to give plausibility to her knowing about the necronomicon and gain sympathy from Amanda? Especially with her story of Ash killing the Knowbys??

Like yeah I refer to her as Ruby Knowby but that's because it's easier to search and tag than "Demon Woman of Fire" and "Fierce Mother From Hell" .

If I had a nickel for every character I've loved that is an immortal woman who murders without hesitation, goes through a redemption arc and joins the protagonists side, only to engage in time travel bullshit and meet her younger self and have her younger self be so full of rage seeing her at the protagonists side that they just. Kill her and go "back" to being evil

Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
