Hear me out. Sonfinite fankid, but she was born on The Death Egg during the events of Forces.
Long ass post, so everything else is below the cut.
In this little hypothetical universe, Infinite wins. Sorta. The Resistance loses all of their forces, leaving just the main cast and a few newer recruits (The Diamond Cutters, plus a few other characters). They decide that they have to lay low, that they need to rethink their plans now that 100% of the planet has been corrupted. So, The Resistance disappears. Infinite is under the impression that they were all killed, so he eliminates Dr. Eggman, gets his hands on the real Phantom Ruby, and uses his newfound power to build his own empire.
He raises a fortress for him and his "lover". He raises towns, cities, and villages. He creates living beings to live in those communities, beings that worship him as a god.
And poor, poor Sonic is locked in a cell. It's been over a year, and he's decided that nobody is coming for him. Infinite's mind tricks and manipulation finally wore him down, and he's too tired to even insult his captor anymore. He accepts Infinite's "love". He doesn't have anything that grounds him to reality, so he'll take what he can get. Even so, he doesn't do much. Just stares at the ceiling and waits for it to end. When his daughter is born, he nearly bashes her head into the floor.
Years pass. The Resistance can only do so much with so little. They blend in with townsfolk, faking their ways into l conversations just to find out more about Infinite. They're running out of time. Sonic could be dead. And now, there's this bitchy teenage girl that keeps spotting members of The Resistance and keeps killing or capturing them. All this to say, they're totally fucked and moral is at an all time low.
Malice likes to go in Sonic's cell with a tray of food, sitting across the room and sliding it into the shadows where he hides. She talks to him, begs him to give her a chance to be his daughter. He ignores her and tosses the empty tray in her general direction. He never replied to anything she says. She just wants her dad. Not the one who controls her, who refuses to allow her freedom. She wants the one that Infinite twisted the stories about, the one who used to be a hero and role model to the millions. She puts in so much effort to sneak into his cell once a week. Infinite doesn't let her see Sonic. She always disobeys, knowing that getting caught would get her locked up in the cell right across from her dad's. And yet, he won't even let her near. She can't sit any closer than by the bars. She still has scars from the only time she sat closer.
He hates her. He hates that he hates her. She didn't do anything. All she did was be the product of the worst days of his life. She didn't ask for that. She didn't choose to be born. But he can't look at her. She looks so much like Infinite. Too much. She has Sonic's eyes, but everything else is Infinite genetics. He hates it. He hates her. He hates her existence. He hates her appearance. He hates her other father. He wants to go home. He wants to go home. He knows she doesn't understand. He knows she goes out of her way to see him. He can't help it. He hates her. He hates her so much.
Anyways, uh @maplethedarkshine are you entertained?
