It honestly concerns me how many people didn’t piece together that The Grabber from the Black Phone is a predator. Like the implications were heavy.

Him trying to touch Finney and Finney’s response telling him that he’d scratch his face if he touched him, the naughty boy game (to which mind you he was shirtless for!), Vance’s line about the Grabber “taking his time with him” when he saw what he’d done.

For fuck sakes, he’s an adult man kidnapping young boys and keeping them trapped in a basement with a dirty mattress. All the evidence is right in front of you. Just because nothing is explicitly shown doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

If Jax was having fantasies about sexually harassing Gangle, and he usually GIVES IN to his fantasies and doesn’t mind crossing any lines whatsoever, isn't it possible he ACTUALLY harassed Gangle behind the scenes at some point? Or at least he intended to eventually?

Will isn’t even granted privacy. With Vecna’s other victims, he traumatizes and violates them, but the people on the other side don’t see the worst of it. Will doesn’t get that. He’s not alone, he’s not even in front of strangers. He’s in front of his friends and family. Will is both violated and humiliated.

The positioning of his trauma as a spectacle is what causes him to repress. Everyone witnessed it already, so there’s no reason to talk about it. The way he feels about the trauma is the one thing he can keep private. It’s an unfortunate lose-lose situation because this only has negative consequences. Repression doesn’t help.
