Another year another Summary of Art.
I churned out a lot of stuff this year, especially in January! Gems everywhere, fanart, and landscapes. I went all in with learning how to do environmental art, and I think there’s been a notable improvement between March and October. (Looking back at it now there’s so much I would redo in the March pic.)
This year I watched hours and hours of digital art videos and tutorials and paint-overs how-tos. Watching other people work is fascinating to me, I love picking up tips from things like Feng Zhu’s videos and Noah Bradley’s landscapes. I worked on drawing people a bit better, more realistic than previously. And clothing! And keeping in mind light/shadow values along with colors. I think for next year I’ll work more with dramatic lighting. :)
