I love the idea of polls for characters that wouldn’t win otherwise because they’re too obscure, so I want to know what character people have the most strong opinions about, specifically who can split a room between negative or positive opinions the best.
For example: i haven’t heavily interacted with fandom since steven universe days so I’ll use Rose Quartz as an example. People either think she’s a soft uwu mom victim of the diamonds or an evil irredeemable space despot. I have never met a steven universe fan with a neutral opinion about her.
So that’s how your blorbo can win this poll: by being divisive. They don’t have to be popular or from a popular media, they just need the people who know them to have a strong opinion about them. In this poll, the character with the MOST EVEN balance of votes wins. I’ll post an example poll to show what I mean, but basically you’re encouraged to submit a blorbo if you love them or hate them! Either one helps them in this poll!
Here is where you can find the list of all characters with 2 or more submissions who made it in! Those with one submission who made it in will be added to this list in phases so I can check them.
Form has been removed from under the cut due to being closed but the rules remain up for reference:
- fictional characters only, no real people or characters based on real people, such as a minecraft youtuber’s self-named oc, or fictionalized versions of historical figures (ie no hamilton characters, but clone high or fate is fine)
- as stated above, only submit each character once, although you can submit as many DIFFERENT characters as you want. Sending this post to friends who hate your fave or vice versa is also fair game, as long as they only submit their true opinions!
- Although to add to the hopeful anti-bullying safeguard, and to publicly answer a question I was asked privately, you can also submit characters who are ocs from smaller or fan works, but only if you get explicit permission from the creator. I don’t want to make any smaller creators feel uncomfortable about their character being widely hated even if they are also widely loved
- you can love or hate the character for any reason as long as you have strong feelings about them! They’ll have a better chance of making it in and winning if they are a controversial character, but you don’t necessarily have to submit only characters you know are controversial. I’m also allowing particularly good reasoning/propaganda to sway me, although I’m planning to probably include 512 characters so that as many as possible can get in!

Hi all!! I’ve seen brackets for video games, obscure video games, etc, but never one specifically for flash games but I love them so I am being the change I wish to see in the world ❤️ submit your favorite flash games and may the best game win!! I’ll take submissions for a week, until 3pm est May 27th
Flash games only please!! Not mobile games or console or anything. Like the kind you found on girlsgogames or nickelodeon dot com or something. If a flash game was ported to console or iOS or something that’s fine and it still counts as a flash game tho
- Please don’t submit any of those gross like, pregnant Elsa toenail surgery games. They gross me out and I really don’t wanna look at anything involving surgery or organs or even like, toe fungus. Makeover type games that involve teeth and acne are fine, but anything more pls don’t. I trust you guys to use your best judgement on this point
- Submit as many as you like as long as you don’t submit the same game twice! Pls don’t spam as I’m gonna try to include as many as I can no matter how many submissions they get (or maybe I’ll include anything with 2+ submissions in the tournament for best flash game, and anything with only 1 in the bracket for most obscure flash game…..? Gimme opinions in the comments on this!!)

Hello! I’m starting a third tumblr tournament before my first one even officially starts because I cannot be stopped. This one is to find tumblr’s favorite New Englander! People from those six states in the United States northeast now have their time to shine.
So you all have them front and center, the six New England states are Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont
They can be raised in new england but moved away long ago, moved to new england from somewhere else, never left their hometown, anything as long as it’s part of their story! I’ll be accepting submissions for one week, until 3pm est on May 29th
Rules and submission form under the cut:
- As the title suggests, fictional characters only!! That means no real people (because I KNOW tumblr: Jerma counts as a real person), but also no historical figures or characters based on historical figures, or self-insert ocs like the pcs of MCYTs. (So no Hamilton characters, but for example Clone High or Fate Zero characters are fine because they’re not literally the historical figure)
- Submit as many characters as you like as long as you don’t submit the same one twice! Pls don’t spam as I’m gonna try to include as many as I can no matter how many submissions they get. Also please use the submission form, don’t send your submissions to my inbox!! If you do I’m just deleting it because it shows you didn’t read the rules
- If the state they’re from isn’t listed on the submission form it’s not a New England state. Most prominently, please don’t try to submit any characters from New York
- They can be from a fictional city as long as it’s at least implied to be in a new england state! For example, Star City (where Green Arrow lives) was stated once to be in Connecticut, and Derry, Maine is the fictional town from It

Have you known that a ship exists, but you have never thought of it that much until one day you realize you ship it and you don't know how it happened? Or have you thought that a ship wouldn't work but then somehow were convinced otherwise? Or you didn't know about a ship and suddenly said ship is everywhere and you can't help but fall in love with it? Well, then this contest is for you!
Shipping is a very funny part of any media! There are ships and ships, some cannon you love or hate, some no-cannon that you wish they had ended up together... and ships you don't know how you ended up shipping.
Really, there are ships you don't know how you ended up shipping! One day you are chill, happy with your life, and the next you are obsessing with a ship you might not even have known that it existed. In fact, that has happened to me twice just this year, so I decided to create a contest for those ships!
Rules:
Please, be respectful to everyone. Don't be rude to someone just because you don't like the ship or be mean in the tags or reblogs. Let everyone enjoy what they enjoy.
Propaganda is allowed and encouraged as long as you follow the first rule!
You can submit any ship you want, however, because I am not very familiar with a lot of media, I will ask you to please refrain from submitting any ship that you think might cause controversy or if they come from a very controversial media (like Harry Potter or South Park). You will be helping me a lot if you do this!
There are three exceptions to the above rule is that you CAN'T submit an illegal ship, nothing that features an adult with an underage. These ships will be instantly banned.
Also, for this contest, I will not accept OC's as part of the ship.
And last but not least, nothing that features real people. Singers, actors, youtubers, streamers, NO-ONE of flesh and meat.
The ship doesn't have to be cannon, they might not even interact in cannon, who cares? As long as you don't know how you ended up shipping them, then you can submit it! You can even submit characters from different media!
You can submit as many ships as you want but don't submit the same ship twice. Number of entries will not have that much of an influence in deciding if a ship enters or not.
Instead, I added a question for you to tell how you realized you shipped this. It can be anything! You didn't know about the ship but one day you saw a cute fanart of them and OMG they are adorable together; you didn't think of them as a couple but someone convinced you that they are pretty cute together and know you are ready to sink with the ship; or you know that the ship isn't that good in the story they are from, but my god, how could you not ship them?
This is not mandatory, of course, but the funniest and most interesting stories will have a better chance of entering the tournament.

Is it okay to say we LOVE or HATE a character even thou we have never watched the content they are from and we know them for memes or something like that? Asking because of Asuka.
Yeah as long as it’s the truth you can answer whatever you want! Like I love certain characters bc I’ve seen really cool fanart of them despite never seeing their media, or I like them via my mutuals ranting about how awesome they are. These are all valid reasons to vote love or hate!
