how does Amy's magic work with technology? because in episode two when she shows her magic to the world she encouraged people to record her presumably so that there was evidence and so that more people would know but then she starts communicating directly into the minds of the people in the room so does that mean that people who just saw the videos of her magic just saw her be quiet and sort of had to take peoples word for it that Amy can in fact do magic or can the magic be preserved within the video meaning they also can hear her speaking in their head

It doesn't. Per what Amy says in Episode 2, she needs to be around someone for her magic to have an effect. Once you add both distance and time, forget about it.

So if someone recorded that first performance she did at the South River Tavern, as Amy requested them to, that video wouldn't capture the mental communion between her mind and those of the audience. But it would capture the results of that. If she can, say, correctly predict all the contents of someone's bag, or make someone say something in the language of the sun in perfect synch with her, that's the sort of stuff that would show up on the video for the event.

Good morning and happy first update day of 2023! There's incredible art at both A GIRL AND HER FED and at SIDE QUESTED! (but writer-me is making weird pointy gestures at this SQ panel which means nothing, I'm sure)

One day, probably several years from now, I'll talk at length about how @alepresser and I came up with the rules for magic in SIDE QUESTED. They are...uh...extremely fucked-up. Ale had to remind me multiple times that this comic is a TEEN ROMANCE COMEDY and DOES NOT CONTAIN MURDER, KB, COME ON, I MEAN REALLY so I toned it down. A lot.

(It's still really fucked up tho.)
