Trying to compare the different Star Princess costumes, while adding as many different versions as possible. had to leave a ton out still. I've left out the Royal Albert Hall and UK tour ones on possible - the former because it's identical to the newer UK ones minus the puff sleeves, and the latter because they're brutally butchered in all their incarnations.
1. The US version. Baby pink and purplish blue shades, in silk and tulle. The bodice is very curvy and pointed in front. It has beading going downwards in the lower half, and upwards in the upper half, creating a specific pattern. The beads are various clear, silver and blue beads. The ruffle over the bust is extended over the arms, and often has an accenting pink or purple colour in it. In front bust there are three stars and bead fringe. The skirt is multiple layers of netting and tulle, going from blue to pink, with the upper layer being a silverish dotty one. The skirt has rows and rows of beaded stars, and the hem is tabbed. The tiara is a small half moon surrounded by stars. Ornamentally decorated blue/silver boots are worn.
2. One of many Japanese versions. But common to them is that they have a lot of fringe and decorations over the bust, and the bodice tend to be darker than the skirt. The decorations over the bust are not extended to the sleeves, instead separate puffed sleeves are worn. The bodice is pointed and with defined tabs at the sides, and this shape is repeated in the beading. The skirt hems are usually not tabbed, and the upper layer is transparent, with rows of stars. The tiara is a semi large half moon with stars, sometimes blue, sometimes silverish. Blue boots are worn.
3. The first Canadian version, modeled after the ones used in Europe. Pointed bodice with tabs at the sides, and with this shape repeated in the beading. No stars over the bust, instead a bead fringe and a ruffle, and with separate puffed sleeves. Bell shaped skirt with a smooth upper layer and rows of stars, corresponding with the vertical lines of beads in the bodice. Also a huge half moon tiara, and turquoise/blue boots with silver decorations. Paler in shade.
4. The second Canadian dress, closer to the US dresses. Biggest difference is the bodice, with its smaller tabs, and the beading going downwards in the bottom and upwards at the top. Still no stars over the bust, but a continuous ruffle/sleeves over a bead fringe. The skirt is also closer to the US ones, with a dotty upper layer, pink at top and silverish towards the hem. But the shape is more defined than the US ones. Blue boots with silver details, and the same huge blue/silver moon tiara. Bolder in colours.
5. The original Australian/WT dresses. Held in sky blue and baby pink shades. Rather short bodice, with rounded tabs all around, and with beading repeating this shape. Ruffle over the bust continuing into small sleeves, and also a small beaded fringe with stars. Large skirt, very sculpted look, with netting and tulle going from sky blue to pink, with a sparkly dotty upper layer and rows of stars in between the folds. Pinked rather than tabbed hem. Blue and silver boots, and a tiny moon-and-star tiara in the shape of a fan.
6. Newer Aussie/WT versions, following the same basic look, but with a hint more purple in the blue tone, and with a differently sculpted skirt. The upper layer has small silver stars instead of dots. Also, the skirt is now paler than the bodice. Similar tiara and boots.
7. Elder European version (here: Sweden/Denmark). Strong blue and pink shades. A bodice with short, round tabs and with that pattern repeating these curves. Massive decoration over the bust, with layers of ruffles, gold fringe and stars. Separate puffed sleeves of blue and metallic ruffles. Skirt of layers of tulle, going from royal blue through pale blue to pink. upper layer of silk, with rows of stars, semi tabbed hem. Blue boots with silver details, and a huge silver half moon tiara with stars.
8. Another elder European version (here: Hamburg). Short, pointed bodice with rounded tabs at the sides, and bead decorations continuing these shapes. Silver and baby blue ruffles over the bust, with stars on top. Similar ruffled puff sleeves. Very long skirt with lots of width, tabbed hem and a pink silk upper layer on top of a patterned floral silver ones, on top of blue tulle. Rows of stars going from small on top till large towards the hem. Blue/silver boots and a semi large silver moon tiara.
9. Elder UK dress. Short, pointed bodice with matching bead decorations, fringe and ruffles over the bust, with stars on top, and large loose puffed sleeves in blue and pink. A very bell shaped skirt, not tabbed, with with a visible silver floral fabric under the silk top layer, and rows of stars corresponding with the lines of the bodice. A semi large blue moon-and-stars tiara, and blue and silver boots.
10. Newer UK version. Bodice similar to elder versions, except longer and more pointed, and with more decorations over the bust. Ombre overlayer in the skirt, and tabbed hem. Also bolder colours. Moon tiara on a star diadem, and blue and silver boots.
