ACO Rant #1
Here's a hot take
If your dog is a "runner", "frequent flyer", "escape artist" and is constantly getting loose, terrorizing the neighbourhood, annoying the people who always look for/provide sightings of/ catch your dog(s), and you are one of those people who just keeps making excuses and acting all, "some dogs are just like that!", how about you try teaching your dog door boundaries, how about you actually stimulate your dogs brain, how about you give it the proper amount of exercise and energy release it needs DAILY, how about you get a breed you can actually handle/have the time for, how about you just not get a dog.
There's this "oh well" attitude about it that drives me insane. No! It's not "oh well". No! It's not "some dogs just be like that". It's actually, "some dogs just be BORED!"
Every time your dog gets out it's a strain on everyone who has to look for it, or spots it. Every time your dog gets out and goes to pound It's a huge waste of resources for shelters to have to constantly pick your dog up day after day, try and find the owners and the paperwork that comes with admitting an extra animal, feed/water them, medically treat them if need be, put a kennel out of commission for at least 2 days while your dog is in it and then to disinfect it afterwards. Not to mention every single time your dog gets out it's at increased risk of getting attacked by another animal or getting hit by a car. So it's not just, "oh well," take some damn responsibility!
Thanks, this has been a rant.

(Run Aways is a fictional story that is going to eventually be written)
(This post will be edited more in the future)
Run Aways:
“What if we just left?”
Run Aways is about two girls who meet up over a school photography project and help each other realize the faults of those around them. When enduring the chaos that surrounds them for too long they finally decide to run away together to the ever growing forest surrounding their town. The authority tries to come looking for them but only leaves as well. When the authority meets them in the woods the two girls realize their entire village was brain washed.
