#throwbackthursday to when I was leanest during my @Chaarg days. to when I still had my monroe piercing, that I miss so much. & to when I set Instagram filters to 100% and killed picture quality 🙈 Today I'm missing the #chaarg community. Chaarg stands for Changing Health, Attitudes, + Actions to Recreate Girls. They focus on creating a welcoming community and teaching girls in universities about fitness beyond the elliptical and to strengthen mental health. Chances are, your university has a chapter and you should definitely consider joining because it was a great experience for myself. Good luck to all the ladies starting #runChaarg!⚡️🏃

This run was difficult; it challenged me, and I didn't like it. My side started cramping, I walked a lot, and I couldn't shake my mind from its negativity. I'm being really hard on myself, but I'm crazy frustrated. I'm really tired of feeling this way. So I've been running more consecutively this week, not very far, but I'm still proud of myself. Two girls from my floor have been joining me, and although our skill levels don't currently match, running with them is better than running alone. I've also joined a challenge posted by my University's chapter of CHAARG, which is to run a total of 45 miles in February, so I've been working on that. Each step I take to a new and healthier me is exciting and really shows me the potential I have for my future. I can't wait to rediscover what I can do.
