I finished the MDI Half Marathon!! 🎉🎉 . I finished faster than expected and only walked for 0.2 miles! I ran the rest of it. . I am SO LUCKY that I have supportive friends for pushing me along. My husband and friends followed us along the course to cheer us on too! . Right now I can say I never want to do a half again 😂. This is me status post 13.1 long and hilly miles at the Mount Desert Island Half Marathon in Acadia, Maine in October. . Immediately following this (okay, let's be honest during my training and even during the half itself) I swore off ever doing another half or even running again. The half was hard (okay maybe I didn't train properly) and my legs were sore for days. . But to all you crazy runners who cheered me on and told me I'd want to do another one and I told you you were insane.... . Apparently I drank the kool-aid. 🙈🙊 . My BIG goal for 2019 is to run another half and to beat my MDI time. My plan is to do one in the fall! 🙃 . Any runners suggest any fall halfs in the New England area? #FlashBackFriday to me looking ecstatic as I was running the MDI half marathon!... If I'm looking this happy it was definitely before the 8 mile mark. 😂😂 . Despite how much I was hurting by the end of the race and how many times I said I was NEVER going to do another half..... I'm considering another one. 🙈 . I haven't committed because there are a couple of details that I need to iron out but I mayyyyy do one in March with some of my family members!... That FOMO will get me every time. 🤦🏼‍♀️ . What do you think? Should I go for round two?....
