My inner critic after a running a difficult group

Day 74: Let's Boogie
I used to be a regular runner. Like, get up at 4:30 a.m. and meet a friend for an 8 or 10 mile run kinda runner.
Like, ran 15 half marathons and even more 5ks.
Running got me into the Healthy Living Blogs family, a group that met up annually for a conference in cool places like Boston and Chicago (and ran races together while we were there).
Over time, I transitioned to walking. Running was a big part of my 20s and my single life (pre-marriage). I got to a point where I didn't want to leave home/bed at 4:30 a.m. because I wanted snuggles instead. I got used to walking at lunch and teaching my classes after work.
On the treadmill, I'll still walk/run which is a style I prefer from just running or just walking. I'll watch show, walk during the show, and increase the speed to run during commercials (side note: commercials for streaming services are getting so much longer, what's up with that?!).
I haven't had the itch to run a race in awhile. But there's a local race at a farm that I love and we have a great community that can do it together. That's what these events are all about, really!
So, get ready to see Team FWA at the Godfrey's Farm Blueberry Boogie 5k. I can't wait! Join our team here.
WOD: 2 mile walk, 45 minute Pilates/Barre class

Short run to test out my new shoes. My old pair had somehow disappeared. I wore them to the gym last Saturday and possibly left them there. Although I have a distinct memory of them in my particular bag at home afterwards. Maybe I left them in my bike basket and some one to them.
This was the first time I've been on a run in proper darkness since moving here and the lack of street lights still surprises me. I went along the main road because I figured running at night through rice fields is probably not a great idea, but I still found that as soon as I passed the last restaurant on that road it got very dark very quickly. I'll have to figure out a well lit route for winter because it's always going to be dark whether i run in the morning or at night.
I'm starting to feel like I'm building since decent cardio now. Even though it was a shorter run, I wasn't feeling as tired at the end of each interval. I'm feeling like I could keep going when previously I was counting the second until it was done.
5 intervals of 2:33run, 1:00 walk
25 squats, pushups, situps
In my usual fashion I showed consistency for about a week and then stopped.
Resumed this morning and it felt surprisingly good. Actually, I always find that my first run back after a break feels easy and I wonder why I stopped.
7 intervals, 2:27 run, 1:00 walk.
Bought a Zombies Run subscription for myself for xmas 🏃♀️
What app do you use to track your runs? I'm currently using Runkeeper, but I'm open to switching, especially if I could find some people to friend on there.
