Amiga-ish [New York Uptown] (Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA [1998])
That music length exists for good reason; as the final course, it’s VERY long, with so many alternate paths per series tradition, so you better get used to its cool Bass, and Drums, whether electric early on or Techno later on, as you crawl your way to 1st place! Coupled with some instances of “claps” and good ol’ reverb spread throughout, and you’ve got yourself an underrated composition that deserves to sit alongside other racing game music icons!
You already know that as a racing game fan, I want to play this one, since it’s the only Rush game I haven’t played yet, and seems to be the most polished one too! And with the Nintendo 64 being infamous for its lackluster library especially in certain genres, you should make this one of your prime choices, because it’s exclusive to the console! And it will probably stay that way, since the history of the series starting with Atari but then moving to Midway before the eventual shut down, presumably means Warner Bros. has the rights to the series now, so good luck getting them to not hilariously misunderstand the appeal of the Rush series up to its indefinite hiatus, let alone the cooperation required if it turns out Atari owns some of the rights as well
(Length before loop: Nearly 5 minutes)
