I am shocked by people's lack of empathy, there was a video of Jensen's testimony from the Rust case, this tragedy is all horrible, in the testimony we learn that that bullet was supposed to hit Jensen, so traumatizing for everyone who experienced that, including him, i still had to read from some jp stans that JA is an idiot who only thinks about him

Honestly, anon? Everybody I've seen talking about it is being fucking weird about it in one direction or another.

From the youtuber trying to capitalize on it, to his true crime fetishist audience trying to find conspiracies of Jensen's guilt in it, to Jensen stans insisting a public video is private and Jensen's totally not a B list actor but watching it and talking about how hot he is, to Jared stans searching it for ammunition to dunk on his stans or prove how awful and self-centered he is.

I can’t believe I have to say this right now but now is not the time to be rude.

What happened on the set of Rust was an ACCIDENT it was not intentional. Sadly things like that in Hollywood happens. The same thing happened to Brandon Lee during the filming of The Crow in 1993. Alec Baldwin is very distraught right now as is everyone one else on the cast and crew. Alec did not intentionally do it. It was no one’s fault at all for what happened. So please show some respect and send thoughts & prayers to everyone on set.

Also now is not the time to be saying something like “Oh Misha must of been worried about his husband Jensen.” Misha has nothing to do with Rust so now is not the time for the ship stuff. A tragic accident just happened and everyone is shaken up. Now is not the time to play around and such.

One more thing if you plan on going to the Supernatural con November 5th - 7th please do not ask Jensen about this. This is a traumatic event where someone lost their life. So please do not ask him about this accident.

Imagine blaming an actor for a gun mishap he wasn't involved in because he told a quick story with few details at a Con.

Like wow. Let me quote an ACTUAL tweet.

"I wish he had noticed the armorer wasn't acting responsibility and hadn't used it as an excuse to show off but instead to make sure safety was a priority."

Jensen didn't fire the gun. And we don't know the whole story? It was just a little snippet of the story. He said the armorer explained it to him we just didn't hear him go into detail because... why would he??

Plus most sources are saying this was a DIFFERENT armorer. But even if it WASN'T. THIS IS IN NO WAY HIS FAULT!

We need to be careful assigning blame AT ALL.

But JENSEN? Someone who happened to be on set? Someone who had happened to mention fire arms a week before?

He had NOTHING to do with this!

It genuinely makes me sick.

He witnessed a tragedy. He saw something severely traumatic. The LAST thing he needs is people sending him blame. Chances are he already blames himself if with nothing more than survivors guilt. The idea that people have the AUDACITY to blame him!

I'm livid!

Thankfully the Supernatural fandom is coming to his defense but I can't believe someone would say that at all.

I think the thing people are forgetting is that Jensen probably witnessed something horrible that will effect him for the rest of his life. Alec Baldwin as well will never be able to forget this tragedy. We should focus on that instead of who has more followers on social media him or Jared. Some people truly do suck in this world.

Thank you! I have no idea what compels them to be so tone deaf, but when it comes to considering the effects on those involved, compassion and respect should always be front and center, especially for Halyna's family and friends, as well as the cast and crew.

Jensen in that video very much reminds me of a colleague/friend of mine after he watched another employee get killed in a tragic accident that happened in our company a few months ago.

Exact same behavior, trying to keep it together and cool, but babbling and going off on tangents. Very obvious "traumatized person still processing what they witnessed" vibes, just like with my friend.

Our comapany arranged for a crisis intervention team that all employees could make us of if they felt like it and my friend received trauma counselling and he's fine now. I hope Jensen got some kind of counselling or therapy as well to help him process and deal with this.

Those who have been on at least the periphery of an accident or tragedy know it can do weird things to your memory. Some things become crystal clear and others you're sure you should remember just as well are fuzzy or missing altogether. Even when survivor's guilt isn't a factor (which it obviously is here)? There's often the nonsensical feeling that somehow, if you'd just done something different, it wouldn't have happened - which can lead to fixating on what may seem like random factors to someone else. Add on top of that Jensen is specifically there to provide as many details as possible and the detectives actually want him to feel comfortable enough to go off on tangents just in case it triggers some additional bit of relevant memory? People being weird about it are mainly demonstrating they don't know wtf they're on about.

Jensen mentions at the end of the video that he has an upcoming appointment with a therapist, so it does seem like he was well aware it wasn't something to try to deal with entirely on his own.

And here's the thing, what happened wasn't really Baldwin's fault in that as an actor he's just given the prop gun loaded with whatever the scene required by the gun specialist. Whatever caused this horrible accident can't be laid on any actor as its not their responsibility to check the firearms before filming.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid getting into speculating about fault at all, but you're not wrong. There are people on set specifically whose job it is to wrangle firearms. Which is assuming this is even something that could have been prevented by anyone and not some kind of previously unknown fault with the prop gun itself. So far as I've seen there haven't been any further details released as to the circumstances of what exactly happened and why or how.

Instead of just being horrified, a lot of people are indulging in ghoulish speculation like this. Trying to blame Jensen for being on set and not doing a prop master's job, or assuming that Baldwin was wildly waving the gun around pulling the trigger haphazardly. Like a death and serious injury just aren't juicy enough for them. It's pretty fucked up.

Someone pretty much just blamed Jensen for what happened on set because he “has ample experience with prop guns from his 15 years on Supernatural so you would think he would have said something.” No one knows what exactly happened and someone has died, like can we not? I just don’t understand people. Like how can someone actually be like this? God twitter is a hell hole Lucifer himself despises.

Nobody knows exactly what happened or how it happened. Leave the investigating of potential fault to the fucking investigators actually on the scene with access to facts and not voyeuristic vulture-like speculation. Someone died in a horrible accident and everybody else there is gonna have to live with that trauma, but fucking blowhard armchair critics on SM gotta scramble to get in their speculative half cents.

I love people who know nothing about how sets, filming, acting, etc. Work are yelling about how this is all Baldwin's fault when they know how NOTHING works.
